I've been seeing my old cards a lot recently because I've stuck every last one of them (no energies or precious precious shinies lol) to a gallery wall as part of an exhibition I'm in and it really brings back the memories.
I buy a booster pack once in a blue moon (all of my mates have grown out of it years ago) so the bulk of my collection ends with the old gym leader set so it's like a big ol' walk down memory lane.
So to those of you who don't properly play the TGC anymore do you ever have a rifle through your first cards for old times sake and think wow I remember when kids were getting stabbed for these... Ahh simpler times.

i was going through my cards the other day and i realised that most of my old cards that you cant get anymore were gone i was hell sad but at least i still have some

Yeah, got them all in a binder :) sometimes I trade them, but that's very rare.

I'm still waiting to get my holo Typhlosion back from 2002...hm, I really want that back.

I often find I leave stuff with the past for a bit but then never get it back. I'm still waiting on my holo Zapdos, countless Beast Wars body parts, a G2 Transformer, Team Buddies on PS1 (actually I may have sold that to buy a Gamecube), a bunch of Mr Men books and my Gameboy link cable.
I now make a point of never lending stuff to a specific point in time.

Haha, me too. And I never ask to borrow stuff either; I still have to give my friend back his extremely old Digimon figures, which I borrowed when I was in Kindergarten (I'm a Freshman now :D)

Oh, and she needs to give me back my Raichu EX, my 1st EX card :(
