Hey guys, have you been in mind the company making a Movie with all old characters and new characters in one.
let's hear 'em.
 
They tried that already. It was called, "The Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon."

It was horrible.

"The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon" is basically the closest PUSA will ever get to actually putting fanfiction into production. It's one of those things that really can't be accepted as canon in any way.

I wonder what Japanese audiences thought of it. It didn't air on TV Tokyo, so someone apparently knew that it didn't have much of an audience there.
 
That was a net special, what would you really expect?

It was definitely canon but I think the problem wasn't so much tge plot, it was the production value of it. Whoever was directing the voices for it didn't seem to care... It just came off as something thrown together on YouTube... With fandubbers throwing thier voices into something without trying...

I actually personally liked the Mirage special. The story was nice...
 
I would like it if that happened again, but only if it's done well. Personally, I found the Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon be be okay, but it would be tons better if it didn't seem so lazily done. Their voices were so wierd. >.<
 
To be honest I think something this fanservicey is just not needed for our crazy audience. We already have people that can't move on, think of other characters as a "threat" to their OTP and don't simply realise that you can go back and watch your character's greatest moments. Let's not stir more shit up because whatever the result is there will always be someone who hated the interactions or something.
 
You're absolutely right. I've never known Pokemon fans are so crazy until I joined this site... Every little thing annoys them.

Dawn gets Togekiss so that's a slap to Misty's face.
Dawn's totodile is an insult to Ash's.
Omg! Misty didn't get a cameo of looking at the tv, seeing Ash, this is horrible. The writers gave up on her.
May is flat-chested now... They totally forgot that she used to have boobs! I hate the writers and animators!

Just some of the complaints I've heard... As ridiculous as they sound and they come at random! If they were to have another episode with all the main casts over the years, they might complain if Todd the photographer wasn't included for his few episodes he were around.

Still, even so, those complaints don't stop the company from making some episodes.
 
If we're talking about a grand reunion, its impossible.

Ash now has had 9 travel companions, and there are over 10 rivals if you include all the coordinator rivals.

Anyone who thinks 20+ characters will all get together in the same episode or even movie is ridiculous.
 
I honeslty think that the last episode will just feature Ash, and Pikachu. That or some random kids watching T.V, and seeing Ash battle vowing to be as good as him someday as Delia, or someone like Gary look on contently.
 
I hope this would be in the final movie and that movie should be the ending of Pokémon like the Fullmetal Alchemist. Ash should capture Ho-oh in the movie and use it to defeat the strongest trainer on Earth. Every old characters should watch how Ash accomplish this.

P.S. That is just my crazy imagination. It should be highly impossible.
 
Why not?And for last episode of pokemon i could definitely see all of Ash former travelling companions being there or watching him achieving his dream of becoming master.

Mastermind special had already reunion like this and story plot and characters were good in my opinion.Most complaints about this special was directed toward voices,especially toward few of them.

I agree about this with complaints not having valid foundation,but when it comes to wanting to see characte again or return to cast to tie up loose ends not being showed for around 300 episodes i can understand why people complain.

Why include rivals?Just include all main characters,and honestly having them gathered in one special wouldnt be impossible to do.

Ever watched shows like One Piece or Digimon which have dozen of characters in main cast?Well i dont see a problem doing same with pokemon especially if its only for one episode which would be special.

Because it's not Japanese. I personally regard any American-made Pokémon-related media to be non-canonical, as it means the show's original creators had nothing to do with it; therefore, it cannot possibly fit their vision for the show. "Misty's Song" isn't canon, "Pokémon Live" isn't canon, the additional scenes made for the Celebi movie aren't canon, and this joke of a special sure as hell isn't canon either.

In fact, I put it to you that the entire American dub is non-canonical. 4Kids and TPCI change so much random shit around, it's impossible to take anything in the dub at face value. If it didn't happen in the Japanese version, it didn't happen, period.

The Mastermind special had obvious plotholes. Since when did Prof. Oak own a Dragonite, a random scientist know about Mewtwo, and how did Misty leave the Gym again in early Battle Frontier, which is where the special took place?

The movie is one big mess that deserves to be totally forgotten. Not to mention the plot about virtual reality pokemon was pretty terrible too.

Well, we don't know if or what Pokémon Oak owns other than that Season 5 Pidgey and that when he was younger he had a Charmeleon

This really is extremely stupid, no one should know about Mewtwo... just Ash, Misty, Brock, Pikachu, Jessie, James and Meowth... and even them can only remember the "Mewtwo Returns" events and of course they'd nevel tell about this to anyone... I'm also assuming that when Mewtwo deleted the memory of Giovannie in "Mewtwo Returns" he probably deleted his memory of the Movie 1 events too... and even if Giovannie still knows about it, I doubt he'd talk about this with anyone...
So yeah, they totally shouldn't have used Mewtwo

Well, she CAN leave the Gym sometimes... she can simply lock it like when she went to get badges in that Chronicles ep... that actually took more than one day, while the Mastermind thing only required her to take one day off
If something was annoying with Misty here, it's the fact they tried to play up some bad relationship between Misty and May... like, Misty saying "I owe you" for saving her and May is like "see, I can do stuff too"... that was totally out of character for both and for Pokémon in general (at least in Japanese Misty simply says "thank you" as she should say, though I'm not sure what May said there... watched that years ago)

Yeah, it really was very bad, but sadly it's part of the Pokémon anime just like anything else
 
The Mastermind special wasn't even aired on TVTokyo in Japan. They only streamed it online on a website but I'm pretty sure it never actually aired on TV over there.

The Japanese must view it as garbage and non-canon.
 
It did air on TV in Japan, just not on TV Tokyo... I think it was in Kids Station, the channel that is constantly reairing the origianl+AG series in Japan again and again
 
I think its rather safe to say all the main characters will never be in the same episode together.
