Good idea,most of the time the animation gets nagged alot.

I remember acientpower being animated quite impresive,with a energy projection of yanma's body being transformed in a ball.

Hikari looked pretty nice in DP 61. I'll try to find some good animation caps, I like this stuff.

Personally, I think any episode which either Iwane or Shimuera(I can't decide between the two) are animating has the best art. I mean just like at my avatar and sig for both of them.

I think the openng themes of some of the seasons have some great art, particularly the Advanced Battle and Johto League Champions openings.
There was this one shot of Ash battling the the Regis and he does a little pose with an explosion behind that I thought was very cool.

The art has never been very good compared to other anime, but the best I think is the first episodes. I think DP has too bold outlines and the colouring is not so good. With the bold outlines they look more flat and 2D. And the attacks looks different today. They look, well, like Bubble, more beautiful. I think that works in a Contest but not in a Pokemon battle. So, I think the old attack animation is better, too. It looked more like attacks than Contest perfomance as in DP.

I swear there was a great-looking episode once that used a lot of thick outlines and a somewhat rough style, but I can't for the life of me remember which episode it was.

The only thing I've really noticed are the eyes. I miss the style that was used around the beginning of Hoenn. The current style seems, in general, lifeless.
