Since Crystal, there has been a post- game Battle building to entertain us or allow us to train our teams in every game, so choose your favourites and rank them. Also say why.

For me, it would be

1. Pokemon World Tournament (W2B2): It´s the best, cause it has all the best trainers from all the games except the Frontier Brains and Villain leaders and Executives.

2. Emerald Battle Frontier: so long and challenging, 7 facilities with 7 leaders.

3. Platinum Battle Frontier: Like the Hoenn BF, but 5 facilities

4. ORAS Battle Maison: Has better music than the Kalos Maison, and you can team up with Steven, Archie (or Maxie), Wally or Msy, and they all have a Mega Evolution to team up with your potential Mega. Also you are recognized as the current Champion from some rivals.

5. Battle Institute (Hoenn and Kalos): interesting strategic Battle and a good rank system.

6. Battle Subway (unova): nice design and good rivals.

So, have your say: which are the best?

Re: Best Battle place

For pure entertainment, PWT. The tourney stuff was so awesome and hyped, the foes were tough, and the overall atmosphere got my imagination in overdrive. For testing teams and viable strategies, the Maison. Boring yet practical, and much easier to grind for BP.

I loved the PWT. Not only were the teams challenging, but every character had their own music remastered to B2W2 standards for the occasion. And the final battle of any tournament had its own battle music, which was cleverly a theme that incorporated many different elements of the various gym leader themes. Splendid.

Shout-out to the battle frontiers. I never played emerald (sad face), but I loved the one in gen IV. I love the challenging requirements each facility held, I think my favorite might have been the battle hall. Seeing my quagsire take down opponent after opponent was great, until a shedinja threw all that in the trash :p

PWT is my favourite so far, absolutely! It was challenging and it managed to motivate you to try some unusual challenges to unlock even more of them! The type-challenges were awesome, also old character comebacks with updated teams.. just lovely!

Battle Subway and Maison are very addictive too. I liked Battle Subway's music and theme more, but Maison is a little more annoying in a good way. Of course I have darn good memories from both! (ffffff--- you Cresselia!)

I recall Battle Tower from FR/LG and Battle Frontier from Emerald. Both were catchy in their own ways, but somehow they didn't give me that feeling of "Gotta defeat them all!" so I gave up on these places after a while.

I definitely enjoyed the Emerald Battle Frontier the most. In contrary to the Platinum one, this one was hyped up all game and when you finally got there it was a beautiful place. Definitely the Post-game I've put the most time into.

PWT gets a shout-out as well for being something I wanted to be in the games for a long time.

both the emerald and the Pl/HGSS frontiers were my favourites! i really enjoyed all the various challenges - even though i was TERRIBLE at them - and all the brains had really nice designs! they all brought unique challenges and little quirks that were pretty enjoyable too. my favourites were probably the battle pike, hall and arcade!

thise were my favroties too but I also liked the battle pyramid and the battle dojo.
It took me forever to get the gold symbals in emerald WITHOUT a gameshark. And I'm still working on the gold prints in platnium, but I never went into hgss battle frontier minus the tower out of nostalgia for crystal. also the battle institute is the easiest way to grind for BP aside from the PWT, but the battle institute has the excuse of being in all gen V/VI games unlike the PWT.
but as I said before I like all of them a lot.

I actually love the Battle Maison and Institute.

For one thing, I like being able to challenge Triples and Rotation freely now since they were scarce in BW. Then there are the improvements, like faster BP grinding or being able to take a break in between games which I greatly appreciate. I even like the Chatelaine sisters, how we have unique boss characters for each challenge, and their interactions with each other in tag battles are pretty fun xD

Institute I love as a way to grind BP as quickly as possible. I average around 13 points per run, and for just 5 battles! On top of that you get to see some of what works or doesn't work for your Pokemon, and without potentially ruining a streak at the Maison.

Most of all, I've gotten a bit more replay value out of these than most others by the grace of Gen 6 game mechanics and smoother grinding.

I loved the original Battle Frontier for its varied formats, but the limitations of Gen 3 is what stops it from being at the top for me.
