The internet is place where it's possible for people from all over the world can join in one place. Bulbagarden is an example of said place. But like every group, there is always someone who you seem to have more in common with than others, and can enjoy a good conversation with. Sooner or later, you guys become friends.

Sure, we have the friends option on our homepage, but is there any that you've met on this forum that could possibly be your friend in the real world, where a friend button isn't present?

So long story short: Do you meet a friend or two on Bulbagarden? (Note: I don't want this thread turning into an arguement of who has more friends than who, and who has the most friends. This is simply a place to just say if you've made a friend here)

I've definantly have met people here that I've become friends with, though two I think I've became friends with the most.

1.Pale Bones-he was one of my first friends I've met here, since we both liked Inuyasha.We started talking about that, and soon, we just started having normal conversations. We've talked about everything, from favorite pokemon, to favorite shows, and even favorite food.

2.Dashingfox-his friendship started with me choosing Kirby for an avatar. He started to get interested in Kirby, and then, we just started to just talk about whatever was on our mind. He also had some influence in my interest in Paper Mario.

I have made alot of friends on bulbagarden but there are a few i speak to alot i have four top friends and soon more to add

1.Shinjilover, she is very fun to talk to and we always have great discussions together. She and me havent been friends long but we are close now on bulbagarden.

2.Dashing Fox-One of my first friends on bulbagarden. This dude loves t talk about pokemon something we do alot

3.Milotic 2003-another new friends i just made we talk alot about randomness and we became friends on the fun and games

4.Fe 6x-when were not fighting on brawl were fighting on fun and games he's the only guy who has ever outposted me!!!

Of course! I haven't made many, but there are some note-worthy ones:

kiratwig - One of the most fun people to talk to. He seems hell-bent on making me blush, but there's nothing wrong with that as long as he takes the right road toward it! And we seem to talk for hours. .

E-knight - A bit of a spaz, but he's pretty cool, nonetheless. We continue to have a private RP, and it is fun. It's on a to be continued until he comes home from school. >< God!

Kenji Sasaki - Intelligent and funny. He's the one the continues to inspire me to this day to continue writing my fanfictions, even if he doesn't post up his own as often as he should himself.

Brago - We haven't talked recently, but when we did, we wouldn't shut up. He's a good friend.

and last but not least

Mordachi - Kind of annoying if you talk to him for too long, but he's funny.
 
Hah. I was actually thinking about starting a thread like this. XD

1. Crystal Glacia. She's actually my best friend in the real world as well, and we've known each other and been best pals since the first grade. To me, she's like a second sister.

2. Anime Aficionada. It's so fun chatting with her online. She's a cool person and I can relate with her a lot.

3. piemonkey29. See reasoning behind Crystal Glacia, though I became friends with him sometime mid-sixth grade.

Ben Cousins: You know why? He's so awesome, amazing, and so cool with the way he posts and stuff.
Also Chosen of Mana since he is one of Ben Cousin's friends, my friends, and one of the newer nicer mods here.
Then Shinjilover because she helped me with how to put up spoiler tags so then I don't spoil anything but it was for a joke thread.
Mitch is also my friend. I talked with him in private on the chat room to become my friend because I asked him if he knew any good people from here in real life. And so is that Serebii although he doesn't post here as much. He's from another place, serebii.net and I had one other friend, but I can't remember the name because he had changed it so I'd have to check my profile for it again. Also, I have and deserve many friends here with positive attitudes about myself and them.

Edit: Somehow he changed his name to Beware the Tyraneon, yet I don't remember what his username before he made the change.
 
Kiratwig- Yeah we will always battle it out in Fun and Games forums, always fighting for who rules over the that forum, an endless battle, always a friendly rivalry.

Ino-chan- Us being both emo(well, I'm half-emo..), we're not that different, plus, we both like Square Enix.

DashingFox- Another Captain Falcon fan, we like fighting on SSBB, it's fun stuff.

$aturnYoshi- This guy's always pulling my leg with his jokes, sometimes I fall for them to tell the truth.

I generally dislike posting a list of favourite users because I always seem to miss out a name or two (by accident of course).

But I'll list some of my bestest buddies on here.

Ino-Chan for being awesome, funny, and for being a really great friend to me on these boards.

Æsahættr for accepting my intoxicated ramblings whilst under the influence.

Glinneh for liking the same sports as me, just not the same teams (apart from cricket lol). :-(

Tsutomu for your postings, you come across as weird to some but not to me.

And a few others as well...

That actually was why I was having second thoughts about posting a topic like this, because I didn't want any arguements happening. But then I thought that you could always update your friend list (like I have already), or post another list of friends (it never says anywhere that you can't post more than one list).
 
Torgetsu Kon- I think we became friends even before the Kirby thing becuase we were in the Fun and games section a lot. She got me interested in the Kirby anime and now we talk talk about all kinds of stuff.

Lil' Psycho.- This guy's name suits him well. He never fails to make me laugh.

FE 6X- A cool guy to talk to. He's a Captain Falcon fan and one of the best brawl players I've ever seen.

Kiratwig- Another cool guy to talk to. We usually talk about brawl or the Pokemon Anime.

Buzz - He's pretty cool, and he's a new friend of mine!

Of the friends I talk to regularly it'd probably be:

Cabriola - Lives close so gets a lot of my local references, draws pretty pictures and, like me, generally wastes a lot of her life on the Internets.

Kakuna Matata - Friends with everyone, but I'd like to think we've got a little more going than some of her other connections ;3 If she devoted her life to Internet slavery she'd no doubt be my most-abused online conversational outlet. As it is, I have to make do with the part-time interactions.

DarkMaster - Only get to chat when I'm about to sleep, unfortunately, but always has interesting things to say and shares an outlook on life that is oft-dismissed by the majority. Also makes cool videos and nerdy stuff.

FairyRed - Not around as much as before, but became my all-important chat buddy during work hours. Not much more to say because all of her information is classified due to her being a top-secret international spy.

Eh, I don't think I have gained any close friends really. Let's just say I've got to see/know a few very good people, though most of these are more like "damn, that guy is great" observations. Some of these great people include Blazaking EX, $aturn¥oshi, evkl, Blazevoir, farewell, friend (with comma belonging to the username), Mintaka*, DCM, Sublime, Outrage, Kayi-chan, Keegman (who kinda disappeared), Mijzelffan, and Joshawott.
 
For me, the answer to this question is no. Or at least, not probably likely. The barrier which precludes the possibility of becoming good friends with anyone on this forum is age. I am old enough to be the father of a good majority of the people here. Aside from Pokemon, there is little that I can relate to with a lot of people here. I've lived more, seen more, and experienced more. I grew up in a different time, and indeed, in a different place.

I can see myself having casual friendships with some of the people here, but it's not something I look for.

I'm sure it would be different if I was much younger than I am now, as I could more closely relate to people. But as I stated, the only thing in common I have with most of the people here is Pokemon. Heck, even the music I listen to is so "yesterday" that most people here would only recognize it from the music their parents listen to.

I enjoy speaking with people here. We often have some pretty spirited discussions. But for me, I think that is as far as can go for me.
 
Definitely.

I've met some great people here and I consider a lot of them to be my friends, and could also be my friends in the real world. But, there's one person that stands out the most: Buzz.

He is my best friend ever and we're really very close. I love him like a brother and our friendship is seriously one of the best things that's ever happened to me. Even though we can't spend time with each other physically, I know for sure that our friendship is real and genuine. We've become"real world" friends since we met.
