The Unova region isn't considered the best saga in the Pokemon anime, it's ranked pretty low but what's considered the high points or best episodes. I'm discussing as I'm looking to watch this saga in full soon and should my expectations should be
 
For some I'm going just off memory so I might be wrong.
  • Snivy Plays Hard to Catch!-The debut of Ash's Pokemon with the most personality in the series.
  • Rematch at the Nacrene Gym! & Caution: Icy Battle Conditions!-Gimmick-free Unova gym battles that are fun to rewatch.
  • Scraggy—Hatched to be Wild!, Emolga the Irresistible!, Emolga and the New Volt Switch!-BW had a period that focused a lot on Pokemon humor giving us peak moments.
  • A Connoisseur's Revenge!-Cilan has a rival with a great story to tell.
  • Scare at the Litwick Mansion! & Beheeyem, Duosion, and the Dream Thief!-Insane is too soft of a word to describe this.
  • Oshawott's Lost Scalchop! & Facing Fear with Eyes Wide Open!-Oshawott training time before he was turned into a joke.
  • Iris and Excadrill Against the Dragon Buster! & Drayden Versus Iris: Past, Present, and Future!-Iris has a fun backstory even if it should have come out earlier.
  • Crisis From the Underground Up! & Battle for the Underground!-Peak Team Rocket with peak drama and action.
  • Crisis at Chargestone Cave!-Secondary character focus.
  • Climbing the Tower of Success!-Peak comedy in an excellent competition.
  • Commanding the Clubsplosion Crown!-The best Unova tournament has a fun climax.
  • Beauties Battling for Pride and Prestige!-Good comedy with drag queens.
  • Lost at the League!-Axew's habit of getting lost finally reaches its climax in the most emotional episode of the century, Pokemon was not the same afterwards. Just kidding.
  • Strong Strategy Steals the Show!-This is everything you should watch about the Unova League. Don't watch anything else.
  • The Name's N!, Team Plasma's Pokémon Power Plot!, Saving Braviary!, Secrets From Out of the Fog!, Ash and N: A Clash of Ideals!, Team Plasma and the Awakening Ceremony! Episode N had good build up and moments, fight me. The ending on the other hand...
  • The Fires of a Red-Hot Reunion! & Butterfree and Me!-Finally, some good nostalgia as a prize for pulling through everything else.
  • The Dream Continues!-Good Ash-focused ending.
