Now I know this may be CRAZY, but there is just one game of Gen 6 that people really love. Which one, though? X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire? My favorite is probably Omega Ruby. Let me know your thoughts down below.

I would sort of bunch XY and ORAS together since they're so similar, but I would pick Alpha Sapphire. The new features such as DexNav and seeing the Pokes flying past or on resting on the beach really make me love the game more. I also never got to play the original games so it's a great new experience for me and I quite like the Hoenn map :-)

I say XY. The Kalos region really shows how GF put its effort in illustrating the background. Plus, they finally started to mention war at least in the backstory. Hoenn I still find the region aggravatingly unrealistic. In fact I considered skipping ORAS entirely if I wasn't going to complete the Kalos Pokedex and get the newly introduced Mega-Stones.

Either Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire because X and Y sucked. I bought Alpha Sapphire, so I choose that.

XY definitely had greater PokeDex variety, and it kickstarted the generation, naturally meaning we got more of a new experience (new region, characters, Pokemon, etc.) compared to ORAS--a remake, even if it's a heavily changed one. Other the other hand, the Hoenn region is a much more interesting and enjoyable place to explore. ORAS was better paced and offered a better story.

As far as the features go, even though it's not great as it could've been, ORAS had a stronger post-game. And I value Secret Bases, Contests, the Hoenn region in general and the Magma/Aqua story (especially Episode Delta) over everything exclusive to the Kalos games.

ORAS, easily. XY had a great Regional Dex, introduced some cool features, and had a lot of Kanto throwbacks (which I loved) but ORAS has an AMAZING storyline, and I love the PokeNav and the cutscenes, it easily wins. (Keep in mind that RSE were my least favorite games)

lel, Im in loved of AS, prob cause sapphire has been my fav pokemon game since his release

I thought X and y were the greatest things ever, but after playing AS I realized how much better they were than X and y in terms of but not limited to-

Graphics
Storyline
Music
Pokedex
Gym Leaders
Evil Team
Post Game

And many more.

Hmm. Touch choice for me actually. I'd probably say ORAS due to the better story (though, as much as I loved Delta Episode, I don't know if I like it more than the Looker quests in XY) and the character development to old favorite (though I really missed the friend group from XY [please don't shoot me]).

I haven't yet got X or Y, but I've played Sapphire, Diamond, Platinum, Soul Silver, White and now Alpha Sapphire. AS is definitely my favourite, even if it's just the DexNav and nostalgia. I've been playing it non-stop the past week and a half!

I'm gonna go with XY just because they were something fresh and new, while ORAS were a remake of something I'd already played before with a twist on that. Not to mention I liked quite a few Pokemon from XY.

I will give ORAS credit though for making me actually like Hoenn and actually be a game I enjoyed because I held low expectations for the games when I got them.

I completely agree. XY was a fresh start and I must admit that I was a lot more hyped about the XY release then I was with the ORAS release. XY was more about finding out new big things and I enjoyed the region and the games as a whole. With ORAS It's the other way around, where I concentrate more on detailed stuff like references to the original games.

I prefer ORAS. XY was a huge step-up in terms of art, but the content was a bit lacking. I'm not very keen with Team Flare, but from what I recall, they seem pretty bland compared to Team Plasma, Team Aqua or Team Magma. That's not to mention that their outfit just makes them look silly. I dunno, maybe I just don't like XY very much because of the huge changes it brought to the metagame like Fairy and Mega evolution. Character customization was really awesome in XY though.

Now with ORAS, I've kind of settled down and accepted these changes, I'm pretty hyped playing Pokemon now. ORAS also has DexNav which is pretty cool along with those old awesome stuff from RSE like secret bases (ew to DPPt's) and bikes that actually have use besides getting you to places faster. I haven't played the whole game yet, but even right now, it's already my third favourite game overall.

How? Just how? The other stuff I can see, but you think ORAS' Pokedex is better than XY's? Really? ORAS' is pretty mediocre whereas XY is completely varied. Sure, the 6th gen Pokemon were drowned out by past gen Pokemon, but that is far from the worst problem you can have with a regional dex whereas with ORAS some types have very few options (notably Ice and Ghost), and there's not enough Pokemon to fill out the region to the point where you have areas with 2 or 3 Pokemon, areas which have nothing unique, and areas that use evolutions of the same family.

Hmmm... I'm going to have to say ORAS. They're a far more balanced offering; XY's strength was in its mechanics. Rejigging and streamlining everything, smoothing out existing kinks, and offering many new features like O-Powers, Wonder Trade, Pokémon Amie, etc.. But ORAS not only retains all of that (sans customization because unlike the Battle Maison and Pokémon Amie, changing your clothes is too French, of course), but goes even further with the DexNav (it actually made me want to try to catch as many Pokémon as I could, when I could hardly be bothered before), and even more small-scale conveniences like flying directly to routes, faster surfing with Sharpedo, and Trainer rematches.

Of course, ORAS do have the advantage here, simply by way of coming after XY, so of course most of those things would stick. But while XY were terrific in the mechanics department (and still have a far better Regional Dex), the story was very lacking, which was a major disappointment after BW. I loved Lysandre, AZ, and Sycamore; they were all very interesting characters, and the opposite-PC rival and Trevor were pretty likable as well. But that's the extent of what it gave us there. The female Team Flare admins had zero personality, except for Malva, who wasn't even involved in the main Team Flare plot. The grunts, while sharp-looking, were bumbling doofuses, but not in the clever, subversive way that Galactic's grunts were. Contrast that with ORAS, which has numerous rich and developed characters. The bosses and admins have so much depth. Their goals actually make sense within the context of the world (while I really liked Lysandre's pitch, it seemed massively incongruous in region full of Good Samaritans, and really seemed to be more of a commentary on our world - but that kind of thing only works when the message applies equally well to the story that presents it; otherwise, you're just throwing an anvil through the screen). XY does have the Looker Bureau, which is brilliant, but is equally matched by ORAS' Delta Episode.

All in all, while ORAS does have a few shortcomings, the fact that it not only retains, but builds on (most of) what was introduced in XY, while at the same time, bringing the story aspect back up to the standard of BW makes it the clear winner for me. I still enjoyed XY, but ORAS blows it out of the water.

OR/AS has a better storyline and the DexNav (which Gamefreak REALLY needs to not make a OR/AS exclusive feature and bring back in later games. Yeah, probably not happening... I know. >.>), BUT I think I like X/Y better.

I like Kalos quite a bit more than Hoenn. Kalos just had a feel to it that was just really neat. It's very much exemplified by its OST. While I do think that R/S/E had a great soundtrack (much better than D/P/Pt and Generation V), I like X/Y's better. Plus X/Y had trainer customization. Stupid Gamefreak for not bringing it back.
