Best Generation so far?

Mine would have to be Gen 1/2/3, I loved Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald the most, but Crystal/Silver/Gold/SS/HG/Yellow/Blue/Red have always had special spots for me :'D.

Emerald didn't have too much to offer in terms of new things but that was the game I had played the most (over 300 hours of gameplay... -___-") and I had actually worked hard for every Pokemon I had, I even risked my game to clone my level 100 Rayquaza's :3.

Soul Silver has always been my favourite gameboy/remake though. I loved everything about that, I just hope the R/S/E remakes live up to standards! ^.^

There was an official poll for this topic awhile back.

For me, gen 5 and 4. I didn't like gen 3 and I missed out on the first two gens except for their remakes. HG/SS were nice and FR/LG were nice, but they just couldn't match up to the awesomeness that are DPPt and BW. I loved DPPt for the region, awesome Pokemon designs, Pokemon contests, the Poketch, the Underground, Platinum's gym designs and Distortion World, and more. BW also had an awesome region and Pokemon (even if Unova is a bit small for my tastes), and the best storyline of any Pokemon game. Plus, Village Bridge. Sweet sweet Village Bridge. I love to hang around there for the music and relaxing atmosphere. <3 It's also a great place to train up some Pokemon!

Gens 4 and 5. I love most of the Pokemon. I love all of the gens, but 4 and 5 hold the largest amount of my favorite Pokemon than the others do.

2. Gen IV (just for the remakes)
3. Gen III

5. Gen I
