Who do you think is the the coolest, strongest, or even weirdest gym leader ever?:mail:
 
Gen1- Blaine
Gen2- N/A
Gen3- Wattson/Flannery/Norman
Gen4- Byron/Volkner

Overall- Wattson, Blaine, and Volkner
 
My favorite gym leader ever is definitely Clair in Blackthorn city. I love dragon types,and she's the hardest to beat in my opinion.:crush:

I found Tate and Liza to be real tough since it's the character versus two leadrs not one...plus their team in Emerald really were beaitng me up constantly lols
 
Gen I: Brock, Misty (because of the anime), Lt. Surge
Gen II: Falkner, Jasmine, Clair
Gen III: Flannery, Norman, Wallace/Juan
Gen IV: Maylene, Volkner
 
I would give my vote this time around to Blaine. He is so dedicated to his life as a gym leader that even having his gym, and an entire city destroyed by a volcano doesn't stop him. He goes into a cave and renovates the whole thing!

Whitney, she cries because she loses, she's a gym leader, she's going to lose one time or another. Though she gets some points for having her gym try o fight off Team Rocket in Goldenrod even if they somehow managed to barricade them in the gym.

Giovanni's a crook and never actually there.

Clair won't accept defeat, even after she loses.

Volkner goes all emo for not having powerful trainers battle him, even if, you know, you got all the other badges.

Blue, yeah he's kind of the same as Volkner, but at least he gives people who have attained the seven other badges in the region a chance. It's hardly an unreasonable request considering that he is the former Champion. Also points for making an analogy between his career as champion to a volcano erupting, and for still having a fighting spirit.

I may also vote for Jasmine, sure she leaves her post and refuses to battle, but at least she had a noble reason to do it. Though, one has to wonder why she hadn't thought about mailing Cianwood or getting her Gym Trainers to go considering they were scaling the Light House to try and get her back in the gym.
 
Hm.

Generation I: Misty, probably because she seems more serious than her anime counterpart.
II: Jasmine, followed by Blue.
III and IV: meh.

Gym leaders and League people rank as my favorite characters in the series, and I'd number them:

I. Leaf (champion)
II. Lance (champion and E4)
III. Jasmine (gym leader)
IV. Blue (champion and gym leader)
 
I have to say Giovanni just because of the battle between him and Red in Pokemon Adeventures. That was just epic.
 
I also liked Misty in kanto along with Blue, I liked Claire for her difficulty in Johto, and...Volkner in Sinnoh (for looks lol)
 
Claire: Really hard to beat.

Jasmine: Not terribly tough, but I have to give her credit for being the hottest gym leader ever 8D

Flannery: CRAZY hard if you don't have a Water-type, and hot 8D 8D

Falkner: Laughably weak, but easily the hottest male Leader 8D 8D 8D

Kanto: A Tie between Misty and Sabrina, especially in their HGSS designs. Giovanni is in a league of his own. Generally though, I rank the Kanto leaders all pretty high save Erika.
Johto: Falkner. Awesome design. Surprised I didn't pick Lady Jasmine?
Hoenn: Flannery. Hot. Joke had to be made.
Sinnoh: Maylene. She's my favorite

GSC - Blue, because hes gary and gary is a dick

Whitney is my top favorite. Not only is she cute, pretty, sexy, very funny, athletic and cool, but she's among the very few Gym Leaders that represent an actual challenge at the point you fight them, and that's consistently one unless you exploit her weaknesses. All she needs is a bigger Team, and she'd be truly amazing. As it is, her whole team might as well be Miltank unless Clefairy survives and gets lucky. But she's awesome and the best regardless. <3

Tate & Liza were also a great challenge in Emerald, and I enjoy both their strategies and the way they interact with each other. Telepathic twins is pretty interesting.

All in all, I love all the Gym Leaders. They're my favorite characters, but I'd like they posed more of a challenge nowadays.

johto-jasmine, metagross = FTW!
hoenn-winnona, I just like flying type pokemon
sinnoh-candice/volkner, I did not like the others
