who do you think?
1. David Lynch
2. Werner Herzog
3. Christopher Guest

Satoshi does not kid. John Waters is the king of trash.
Richard Elfman, who did Forbidden Zone should have made more movies so I could have made him #5.

What do you think about my three?

I really wish that I had seen more movies by David Lynch... but I like his style. Very mindboggling. Movies for smart people. (wait, I am a smart person)

I wish I knew something about the other two.

My DVD collection mainly consists of comedies and anime. (i am a dork)

My music collection is where I really have diversity.

So, is it as good as Forbidden Zone?

Also.......

5. Peter Jackson (because Meet the Feebles is a great flick! So is Dead/Alive!)

Well...I really don't know about too many directors, so I just say Peter Jackson. LOL! This sounds pretty stupid, huh?

Sure Jersey Girl sucked, but let's give an add to:
Kevin Smith

I don't know any of these directors, but I don't usually pay attention to that anyway. I like Peter Jackson, too. I am also partial to Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemekis.

I haven't seen any Herzog straight through except for the Grizzly Man documentary, which was pretty good... but too much Herzog! Way too much.

Michael Haneke is pretty good, but you wouldn't see his films for a fun time.

I also like the Coen Brothers but they're inconsistent...

Coen brothers are as said, inconsisten. I can't wait for Lynch's Inland Empire, coming out sometime this year, and Guest's For Your Consideration, coming out 9/22.
For Herzog, watch his Aguirre, the Wrath of God.
Zemeckis has made some entertaioning kid's movies (Roger Rabbit, Back to the Future), but I don't see how you can call him a serious filmmaker.
