It comes out this week!

Viz's site has cover art and a description. It's the cover of volume one, which really makes me hope it's a reprint. It mentions Poliwhirl, not Poliwrath. There's mentions for both Green and Blue (I wonder which is which?) and since Blue(girl) doesn't appear until volume two...

Oh, and it's 160 pages. Volume 1 of Pokémon Adventures is appearantly 208 pages. :( It probably is just some of the editor-favorite chapters. But I'll buy it anyway, because more sales = more Pokémon manga in the U.S.!

Buy it.

Why would anyone want to buy a comic of the anime but with bigger boobs?

Wait no sorry, I don't want to know.

*glances over shoulder* Hey, look! All four volumes of Electric Tale!

(EToP is different enough from the anime to be worthy of a buy.)

Plus, it's well-written and genuinely funny.

People just blow the whole boob thing out of proportion.

I picked it up today because the bookstore is conveniently located next to the pumpkin patch.

It's not a reprint, just a collection of random chapters from the first three. It's still flipped, and it still has at least one of the same mistakes they made the first time around. I don't think they even tried.

I hate Viz.

Still unflipped? Lame.

I went by my local Barnes & Noble and couldn't find it. Anyone else having trouble finding this?

Darn it.

Ah well. I'll pick it up tomorrow for the sake of being insane. That is, if my local comic shop is willing to "degrade" itself for the sake of having Pokémon manga. I'm probably the only one there who gets Pokémon stuff there, but maybe they like me enough. If not, I'll just bring it up casually and see if anything awaits me next week.

...Onto the book itself. What's the mistake? Who's Blue and who's Green? What chapters are there? Does it at least have some consistency? Too many questions? :p

And yes, Electric Tale of Pikachu is awesome.

I haven't read the thing through, kinda just skimmed it. But I'll try.

-The mistake is the name mix up in the pokemon league, where they list Red, Green, and Blue's pictures with names below them, only they mixed up Green and Blue's names. So in fact the mistake is correct in the original sense, only inconsistant with the rest of the manga.
-Blue is male and Green is female still.
-A glimpse of the glow, Bulbasaur come home, The secret of Kangaskhan, Wanted: Pikachu, Onix is on, Wartortle wars, Tauros the tyrant, The Jynx jinx, What a Dragonite, You know... Articuno, Just a Spearow carrier, A Charizard and a champion.
-As much as the original edition did.
-Nope.

But PA sucks. Get The Electric Tale of Pikachu.
Nice shoving your opinions up into peoples faces...

It's still flipped? Meh, I'll buy it anyway (sans the flipping, it has a solid translation), if I could find it...

If it helps at all, I found mine at Borders. They only had the one copy I could see though.

I got a copy from Borders too. It also seemed to be the last one. o.o

The part with Articuno and Gyarados was so out of place. The captures of Eevee and Snorlax were just begging to be featured, but were overlooked. x.x

I glanced through the book at my local Waldenbooks, and I think they recolored Rougela's skin for the re-release. I haven't checked it against my Japanese copy of the manga, though.

Yup, it's been recoloured to a grey instead of black. Feh.
