Are there any places in Ruby to train higher level pokemon? I want to max out my Groudon and Swampert but the highest-level area I know is ~40's in the cave near Pokemon League. I can't train them in the Battle Tower so I was wondering if there's other areas with lvl 40+ wild pokemon (or trainers with them) - besides the S.S. Anne, which I already rode once - so I can train them faster?

Thanks!

Welcome to Bulbagarden. The best place I can think of in Ruby right now (my memory's bad) is Victory Road (the S.S. Anne isn't in Ruby, by the way), but I prefer to train in FR/LG (Sevii Islands/second Elite Four) or Emerald (second Elite Four/Gym Leader rebattles). ;)

Oops! I meant the Ferry - not the S.S. Anne. I've been reading too much Pokemon today! Yea, it looks like I'll just have to do the Elite Four over and over because the lvl ~40ish wild Pokemon don't help much.

Thanks for the welcome and quick response BTW. =)

Yah, doing the elite four over and over again gets boring, but it's the best place to train for high level Pokemon. But don't try to solo it, go with your entire team. JIC. But yah, do the elite four. Doing that I got my Blaziken to level 90 before trading it to my bro and restarting the game.

Ah, I just found a similar thread on the serebii.net forums. It looks like Mt. Pyre is a good spot too. I guess u could also trade it to a friend (once u max the EV and tell the friend what Moves to learn) and have him lvl it at 1.5x XP hehe

I cheated and just used Pokemon Colosseum's Mt Battle. : p

XD Mt. Battle is better: the last two battles face you against twelve level 70 Pokémon, five of which are Legendary (Regis in battle 99, Latis in 100) Battle 100 also has Metagross, Salamence, Dusclops and Slaking.

Am I the only one here who was highly disappointed that Ruby/Sapphire has no place to go after you beat the elite four to train and capture strong Pokemon? Nothing like Mt. Silver or the Cerulean Cave? I've defeated the Elite four severaly times...now what?

Sky Pillar... but you're right, there is no "post game" place like in the first two generations.

It does seem DP fixed that, though. There's apparently a whole island you access only upon defeating the Elite Four and Champion Shirona.

I use the Sky Pillar, Mt. Battle(like you said), or I'll trade to FR/LG and train at their Elite Four since they are like level 60/70's
