What do you think is the best Pokémon anime opening?
Personally i like italian openings, they are fantastic, LOOK THEM!

English: Pokèmon Jotho.

Norwgian: NONE THEY SUCK D: (Okay no...its pretty much the 4Kids-themes dubbed to Norwegian. The Jotho-league was never dubbed so... The English are better, mostly for being the originals (The Japanese have completely different songs, so essentially 4Kids-themes are the original songs from what we get))

I haven't seen many of the Japanese ones XP I usually like more of the endings such as Get Fired Up Spiky-Eared Pichu!
Also the first Japanese Opening is quite good:3

I dunno if you've heard all of it or just the normal one they use for the OP. If you've just seen the OP go for the full song. You'll love it.
 
Hey, to err on the side of our copyright policy, I'm taking down the links. You can mention the names of the songs, but linking to YouTube vids is a no-no.

I really love the Norwegian openings for season 7 (Denne drømmen), 8 (Uovervinnelig) and 9 (Battle Frontier). There's a been a couple bad ones - the openings for the Master Quest portion of season 6 and season 10 were horrendous, and the season 11 opening isn't particularly good either, but as a whole the Norwegian dub has a pretty good track record.

They don't suck much more than the 4Kids and PUSA-themes do, since they're pretty much the same songs :p (And no the 4kids themes don't suck either.)
I just prefer the originals, its a bit of a rule with every song I hear XD Original soundtrack is always my fav:3 Since it doesn't lead to awkward translations.

Example of odd translation, in the original theme:
"To catch them is my real test, to train them is my cause." becomes "To catch some strange animals that live inside a ball" (directly translated) That....struck me as a bit odd XD
 
I love both Battle Frontier and Spurt!. BF is so energetic and I love the singer's voice, but Spurt! has all of Satoshi's Pokémon which is awesome. But if going only by music, I choose Battle Frontier. Spurt! always makes me jump because it starts so loudly. -_-
 
OK! third japanesse opening also I like english opening of Born To Be Winner from sometime in Johto I always get those songs stuck in my head! (sorry for that on going sentence).

Yeah, I know, I was just building off your post to comment on the openings myself :p

And yeah, the first opening was completely rewritten, with very few lines matching the English song it was a "translation" of.
 
I love basically all the Japanese openings. The only one I don't really care for is High Touch, though I do love the footage used.

English wise, I love all the 4Kids openings. Favorites probably being the theme songs to the Johto Journeys and Master Quest (the names escape me atm ^_^;), This Dream and I Wanna Be a Hero. But I love all of them. I don't really like the PUSA openings.
 
Hmm...

The original, Pokemon Johto, and to a degree the latter Advance and latter DP ones. But mostly the original and Johto.
 
Personally, since I've only heard the English and Japanese version of the themes, for Japanese, I like all of them except for Symphonic Medley. I like it as a background piece, but as a theme, it's kind of WTF for me. As for favorite, can't pick between Spurt, Battle Frontier, Together, High Touch 2009, Aim to be a Pokemon Master, Advance Adventure, and OK.

As for English, My favorite is Battle Frontier, Unbeatable, Battle Cry (Stand Up), Pokemon World, The First Theme, We Will Be Heroes and Born to be a Winner. My least favorite is Diamond and Pearl, get that Linkin Park wannabe music out of Pokemon please?
 
FOR THE ENGLISH DUB: to make it easier, i'll name the ones i don't like: Battle Frontier and the season 10 theme.

FOR THE JP ORIGINAL: i've only even HEARD one: high touch.
