I am curious as to what are staples of you Pokemon team

For me and my experience:

Charzard
Blastoise
Kadabra
Huanter
Pidgeotto
Fearow
Snorlax
Starmie
Mewtwo
Lapras


I dislike:

Venausar - not because he sucks but because by choosing him you dont get Charzard or Blastoise..who i believe are far better

Nidoking - always level one to a respectable amount, but never deliver good damage, and have weak defence

Legendary birds, ESP moltress - For a legendary i think they suck

All bug types

Charizard
Alakazam (this thing was the killer in Gen 1)
Machamp
Golem
Lapras

well, i always used:
Charizard
Pidgeot (a lot tougher than you'd think)
Gyarados
Onyx (Beast defense man, hopeless to kill)
and i don't remember the rest, but i think i used zapdos, just cause i liked legendaries.

Guess it depends - Charizard and Pidgeot were always regulars, but apart from that I tended to focus more type staples than anything else. As long as I had fire, grass, water, flying and electricity (in whatever capacity) I was happy

Alakazam, Gengar, Tauros, Dragonite, and Articuno were the absolute GODS among pokemon back in the RBY days.

Psychics mainly, they were dominant (Zam, Starmie, Eggy, Jynx, Slowbro). Then you have Zapdos, Snorlax, Tauros, Rhydon, Chansey, and Gengar.

Charizard and Alakazam together were the only thing you needed on your team.

Mewtwo, Alakazam, Charizard, Gyarados, and Dragonite.

 

[FullMetal]

Eh for me it was Raichu, Mewtwo, Mew, Charizard, and Pidgeot.

Dragonite, Golem, Venusaur, Persian (I was a kid and liked free money), Pidgeot, Vaporeon

Delicious Sleep Powder + Psychic. Not to mention, I used it so much the stats were nuts.

Charizard is the lame, pure hype.
