"Woolsey-ism: Stuff gets changed during translation to work better in the new language." -TVTropes (for the record, the term is named after Ted Woolsey, translator of FFVI)

Yeah, I already have a thread open for the names of the Pokemon species, but as we all know, much more than that got changed for the better. So let's discuss our favorites.

A few of mine:

-Evil type (yeah, way to contradict the "Pokemon aren't evil" message) to Dark type.

-Soryu City (Japanese) to Opelucid City (English). Although I like Janusia City (French) best. Google "Janus" for the reason why.

-Taurine to Protein.

-Bromhexine to Iron.

-Lysozyme to Calcium.

-Chitosan to Zinc.

-Indometacin to Carbos.

-Urup to Wulfric.

-Four Heavenly Kings to Elite Four.

-Glacial Body to Bittercold.

Probably Crossroad Killing to Night Slash. Mainly for the obvious reason of the Pokemon games have a move that is called CROSSROAD KILLING IN JAPANESE-
