I see that everyone uses Aardvark...but is it that good? It's WAY off of my AwStats findings, so I'm prone to distrust it 0o;;
 
AwStats isn't all that great in my opinion >_>;


And you have to remember that it's most of the time loaded from a different server and everything. Doesn't always work right. And some people might have "topsites" blocked and such.
 
Aardvarkind is a really excellent "topsite" script. I don't think I've seen any other good topsite script that has managed to stay alive all this time. I will agree with Greg that "AwStats" isn't that great at all.

Is Aardvark the only one out there though? I can't seem to find that many more. Maybe I should check Hot Scripts...
 
uh, what's wrong with awstats? o_o

and I don't really keep track of topsites because.. they're very silly. if there were one well-maintained featureful central one that EVERY site in a certain class used it might work okay, but.. eh.
 
I don't like the stats that AwStats gives me.

And there is Invision Topsites, though they're ugly :S

Kyle had a license as I recall.
 
Yeah, they are paid and not that easy to maintain. *Goes Searching Hotscripts*. I'll see if I can find anything good.

I've seen a heap of other decent ones, but nothing that's as easy to use as Aardvark. There aren't so many PHP ones, but there are quite a few old Perl/CGI scripts...
 
How easy is it to skin Aardvark? Looks like no one has a real problem customizing it at least ^^
 
From what I've looked at it, it's not all that hard.

Similar to phpBB I believe.
 
Yeah, there was one. But that template site contained only 3 templates. It's quite easy making one yourself. All you have to do is make a new banner and change some Hexadecimal color values.

Or you can completely redo the layout, as I did :) It's quite easy and fun to do.
 
Look in the forums, more templates are there. XD
 
But just make your own! That way you get one no one else has XD
 
That might work if you actually have design skills...
 
It works even if you don't, like me :)

(You want a new one? XD That way you can use Ascension for PV and you can have a different one for the topsites. But then you're focusing on the JK topsites... want a layout for them, then?)
