So apparently someone did manage to take some pictures at the launch events, sadly mostly of them are blurry.

Pokémon Black And White Nintendo World Launch Recap | RipTen Videogame Blog

Steampunk Battle Subway:

Castelia with a more classic looking architecture and colours. My wild guess is that at some point of development they planned to make it change appearance depending on the game version like Opelucid city:

Castelia's Pokémon Center. The buildings around are brown like in the previous concept art:

Castelia's Central Plaza. Notice again the old-looking feeling in the architecture and the buildings being closer. Little map on the bottom shows shape being more pointy, like a claw (current one is round and looks like a hand):

Castelia again looking closer to it's final design, but with more colours:

Same Castelia as before but at night. Looks as amazing and flashy as Nimbasa. Sadly the picture is blurry almost beyond recognition:

The Dreamyard, which in my opinion looked like something only an idiot would enter because it seems like an accident can happen in any second (a piece of building falling or something). Hatless Hilbert looks like Pokémon Special hatless Hilbert:

Nimbasa city with a different layout, also with a Merry-Go-Round. The Ferris Wheel is smaller, the layout goes around the Subway station, the Musical teather being more flashy, little homes can be seen on the background and there is a weird mountain shaped facility I can't recognize (probably a removed feature). It's surrounded by dessert instead of sea which makes me wonder if they wanted it to be like Las Vegas before coming up with Cony Island (would be weird to have Las Vegas close to Manhattan, they better leave it for a future game region ;D):

Stration City, in which the park looks way bigger:

More pictures:

(lol I made an account only for this because I saw no mention in the Wiki and thought it was Wiki worthy, browsed forums for a while and thought this was the best place to post this).

I remember seeing these at the London Premiere. A lot of look like they were drawn to be in the evening, but I do like the look of the Battle Subway.

So they were going with a 1920's look for Castelia? Very interesting. I prefer Nimbasa and Striaton's beta designs over the final version.

Yeah, they look great, to bad we couldn't get some of these views for the actual game

I freaking LOVE pre-production/concept art that's why I wished Game Freak, Nintendo or whoever's in charge would release a book full of them. I bet they would fly of the shelves!

Anyway, for whoever's interested, I made a post with lots of close-ups of some of these concept art here: Close-ups of Pokemon Black and White concept art and other illustrations! | Pokemon Black and White

Hi I love you forever.

They only released one book with concept art of the first game (you probably already know that) and that's all... Seriously why no artbook? The closest thing we got these days was the folder with illustrations of Black & White by Ken Sugimori and that was Japan only.

Are you talking about the clearfiles that were released earlier this year? High-resolution Ken Sugimori artworks! | Pokemon Black and White

If so, I wouldn't call them concept art. They're mostly full illustrations done by Ken Sugimori. I love his style so much. @_@

Yes, that one!

You should check out sites like fuckyeahbetapokemonart.tumblr.com and gelbooru.com (it's and image database, enter and type "pokemon official_art". Beware of the NSFW). They have a lot of interesting stuff.

I remember there was a thread with a load of Pokemon 2 Concept art, and there was also a Ruby debug leaked.

Welcome!

Pokémon Gold and Silver beta - Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia

Pretty interesting though, I love beta stuffs. I think some of that art looked like it would be too good for the DS hardware, though, and honestly I would have waited for a 3ds Pokemon game that played better.

One more thing, about the BW beta, calestia city had like 50000 redesigns:

Steampunk Battle Subway.

IT MUST HAPPEN

They redesigned Hoenn (a bit) and Sinnoh (a lot) for Emerald and Platinum, so I have hope that they will redesign Unova and revisit this concept art. I would love to see that lighted up Castelia and Steampunk Battle Subway.

(did anyone notice that this Steampunk Battle Subway seems to have more doors to routes than the current one?)
