Better character in your opinion: May or Dawn?

In my opinion Dawn because of Personality mostly, I just like it better. Though I like May too, but find Dawn better.
 
Rivals aside I do like Dawn herself. She's a fun character and I have no real problems.

However I prefer May's more down-to-earth type of personality, and I liked her interactions with all the characters around her better.
 
May. She had better interaction with the other characters, she had better rivals, a funner, more diverse pokemon team and she's just prettier. I also like her personality better.
 
Haruka. I like how she didn't like Pokémon first, but ended up in two Grand Festivals in the end of AG. She had better rivals too (Harley FTW).
 
Undecided... But I think I'm leaning more toward May. Though I really haven't seen enough of Dawn to give a proper opinion.
 
May. Definitely May.

To tell the truth, when May first came to the show, I honestly did not like her. For some reason I just found her to be really annoying. But as time went on, I grew to like her. I think it was around the time she met Drew and started participating in contests that I started to really like her, and from then on she totally grew on me, and now she's one of my favorite characters.

With Dawn, it's the opposite. When DP first started, I liked Dawn so much that I thought I was going to like her even more than May. And for a while, I did. I loved how cute and fiesty she was. But I noticed as the season progressed, she sort of lost some of that charm. So now I do like Dawn, she's adorable and a fun character...but I just can't like her enough to call her my favorite.

May, in my opinion, is more fun, her contest arc is way better, has a better personality, better rivals, and I like her interactions with the other characters more, and I just love her to death. So May gets my vote. <3

May. It's funny, I started watching the Advanced season quite determined to dislike May, but that just evaporated over time and I even began to like her, and welcomed her return during the Wallace Cup episodes. It's probably also how I've come to associate her with Drew and Harley, who are definitely in my top five favourite characters. Liking by association? Maybe. I won't harp on about what I love about Drew and Harley since this is a May/Dawn thread, but I suppose it's how May is able to interact and keep up with these two awesome characters and not get overshadowed by them in the process (at least, in my view). That's as fine a point I can put on it at the moment.

Not to say I dislike Dawn, it's just that... if the D/P season goes on in the same vein as before, I have a feeling that May's going to turn out the more memorable character for me.
 
May. Less grating personality, great story, and awesome characters to back her up and help her development.
 
Personally, I think that they're both just as awesome as each other. But in being "forced" to choose, I'm gonna go with Dawn, simply because her attitude is (or at least was) a bit more temperamental than May's.
 
I like May more, but Dawn is fine too. I just think May had a more endearing personality, and I enjoyed seeing her mature from a quite inexperienced trainer who didn't like Pokemon at all into a very talented coordinator.
 
I like May's personality better, Dawn's appearance and rivals better. In the end I'll go with May.
 
Going merely off their personalities, ummm... Well, I probably have to say May. She's was a cute girl-next door type, and I tend to love those kinds of characters. I like Dawn's being an untrusting snark, though. Really, it's like 55/45, though, so I voted "undecided".
 
I'm neither. When DP began it would've been Dawn, but it's neutral now. I didn't like May in the beginning, but I've gotten used to her, so she's also neutral.
 
I love both, but its Dawn in my book! Cuter, girlier and more like Ash. I enjoy May's evolution tho...but Dawn is my girl!
 
May, or Dawn? May... or Dawn? In my case, I'll go with Dawn, given her optimism and her evident equality of visibility alongside Ash, among other similarities. May might have actually seemed to be more toward the background than the foreground to my recollections, but that might just be me.
