Did/does anyone else still find BeyBlades kind of a cool concept? Five or six years ago, these things were all the rage at my school and I used to blow money on the tops like crazy and battle my friends.

Eventually, they got banned at the elementary school, just like Pokémon cards, because the administrators there were <s>FUCKERS</s> somewhat strict... but they were still a lot of fun. I was down the basement the other day, and I noticed my old Dragoon (the first one, would be worth something if it wasn't in crappy condition) and other tops staring at me from under the stairs. I took them out for a minute and played around with them and thought "Hey! This is still fun!"

So, why did BeyBlades die out? We should really bring it back.

I think it is going to come back. Japan just started a new Anime last year, I think it's only a matter of time before it is localized. I still like it enough, myself, but my favorite ones are the remote controlled ones. I still think those are really neat/cool (and they do control really well, its surprising), and I was able to get them relatively cheap at the time because they came out near the end of the fad.

I loved them. Good times. Beybattlin' at school was awesome. If it comes back then I'm in.

Man, I some a commercial for some shit on TV the other day. Total copy of BeyBlade. If I remember what they are called then I will link.

I used to love BeyBlade. I didn't remember it until I saw this thread though. I had some BeyBlade toys a long time ago but I dunno what happened to them. It'd be cool if it regained popularity.

Yeah, mine seem to have disappeared too. I was looking for them a few years back.

Moms.

Used to love the show not for the spinning top nonsense but for the bishounen. :3

I love Beyblade! Too bad they stopped the tourneys in my neighborhood...

Used to love BeyBlade
still have loads of em upstairs including spares that acquired and i also have a few fakes as well
But i live in a town where as soon as something gos out of fashion then it all suddenly disappears so they havent been out of the box there in for about four years

It only died in America, in Japan it still seems to be the shit, the non-Pokemon stuff in CoroCoro is either Beyblade or Duel Masters.

I was never into them myself though.

I saw an episode of that once. It seemed so awful. How are the kids getting hurt playing with tops?

I had some, but they are probably in dark corner of a closet in my parents house (or the trash, knowing my Dad). They were fun, I do remember me and my neighbor playing with them some times. I had the little stadium thing too, although I rember mostly shooting them at each other across the room. Never even saw the show!

I've heard about them, and i have seen ads for those cool spinning tops, i never got into it, though and it just died out.

I was killer at BeyBlade. I loved it. I actually used to look like Mariah I was so obsessed back in about grade 2. Seriously, I had the whole pink haired, girl power BeyBlade thing going on. I remember I could beat like, every other kid... Ahh, nostalgia.

Damn. Now I want another BeyBlade.

Bleyblade was in for about half of 2004, at least that's how I remember it my friend still has his but at the time I was just beginning to finally get into, and I became a fan of yu-gi-oh and wasted my money for overly priced cards for the next two years

Lol, good times. 3rd or 4th grade I brought one to school and everyone had them. I had at least 15 of them. Good times.

huh i used 2 watch the show i played with them 2 i was bad :P but it was really fun!^^ i wonder wat happened 2 my beyblades?
