Whht do you think is beyond this galaxy? Outside this universe? On other planets? Are there really aliens? Would they even come here? Do they have MTV?

And so on.

So what do you think is beyond the skies?

Remember to respect people and their opinions.

They likely have a version of MTV of when it was actually good. not these awful excuses for "shows" that they have today due to being inteleigent life forms of some sort.

There's bound to be some form of intelligent life out there... or, at least some kind of life-form that dedicates almost as much creativity in killing its brethren like we do. I'd like to see some confirmation of a silicon-based creature, that'd be remarkable.

Somewhere out there, there is a world that is incredibly worse than Earth. Life (or lack-thereof) sucks and what we're living on Earth is the definition of a dream to them. But there is also somewhere out there where there is a world that is incredibly better than Earth. Living on that planet is amazing, and is our very own definition of a dream.

This is how I like to think of unknown - there is always a better and there is always a worse. But no matter what, there is always a difference. Nothing would surprise me, to be honest. But scare me? That's a different story. :p

Without a doubt do I believe there is life in the universe besides here on Earth. I think there's a high chance they are intelligent too.
And probably there's a planet that is inhabited by nice, compassionate and intelligent beings.

Maybe one galaxy far, far away there is a planet like in The Jetsons that are stuck culturally in the 60's. I think aliens would have stuff to do and stuff they have to deal with rather than fly several lights years to get even close to Earth relative to space mileage.

I bet there is a planet made up entirely of chili pepper plants.

(why is this thread in Serious Business lol)

In all seriousness. How do you guys feel about the Virgin Galactic spaceline? Do you think it will be a successful venture for Virgin and for society to be able to go into space? Or do you think it will be unsuccessful and may ruin the mysteries of space?

It will be great for eccentric and wealthy thrill seekers. I don't think a "spacecation" will do much to ruin the mysteries of space since they will most likely just orbit the earth.

I doubt humans can do much to ruin the mysteries of space. The more we discover the more questions we will get. I personally think there are planets with life so far away that by the time their light reaches us we see the planets as they were long before civilizations develop, leading us to believe we are alone.

I believe there's life on other planets too, more or less developed (well, imho human definition of 'development' would need improvement or more outside-the-box view). We aren't alone in the universe, no-one is, it's just how/where you look at it and how much you believe in possibilities.

Maybe concepts of ancient deities are related to extraterrestrial life, but for human understanding they're supernatural, so they were (and would still be) seen as godlike. Sometimes I also ponder if science would be able to explain all paranormal/spiritual concepts and occurrences, but it hasn't reached that point of development yet on Earth. For a higly develped (as we see it) extraterrestrials it would be no brainer at all. But some of them would be just as confused about humans than they would be about extraterrestrials - understanding how other species or societies work would be more important than any definition of development in this case - and even more important, respecting the differences.

Also, multiple universes are very possible imo, we could actually connect to them with our imagination! We should never underestimate the power of our minds!

I like this one! All of it. I also agree on the scaring part - everyone's scared of the unknown because anything that you don't know is completely beyond your control - and if so, we don't know what happens and what are the odds of surviving, so we're scared.

Oh no, I could jabber about the subject all day as it's one of my favourites. :D Must. resist. temptations...

NASA state that we might find an alien by 2025.

Not the aliens that we associate with outside life but microbes.
