Another article. This one deals with X-Men, and Ultimate Iron Man for some reason.

Ultimate X-Men #75 will see the debut of the Ultimate version of Cable by Robert Kirkman and Ben Oliver. Barber explained that the Ultimate version of Cable will be very different from his Marvel Universe version, and his appearance and influence will move the team of mutants in a new direction. A possibility of an Ultimate Bishop was mentioned, but it was said that there were no current plans for a version of the character.

Brevoort confirmed that the Venom in Beyond! is not Eddie Brock, and will also be appearing in another major series during and after Civil War.

Young Avengers Season 2? Brevoort said possibly in February, but it largely depends upon writer Allan Heinberg's (who's currently on staff at ABC's Grey's Anatomy) schedule.

Ouch. And Runaways/Young Avengers is only 4 issues (or is it 5?). I needs my Young Avengers fix.

Slott said that GLX will appear in Thing #8, which is the poker game issue, and the final issue of the series. After that issue, the writer said, they will no longer go by the name "GLX." The team, such as it will be named; will soon appear in Cable/Deadpool #31.

...They started out as the GLA (Great Lakes Avengers), changed their names to the Lightning Rods to tie themselves to the popularity of the Thunderbolts after thier debut, then changed BACK to GLA after the Avengers became big again, and THEN changed their name to the Great Lakes X-Men after the foundation backing the Avengers threatened a lawsuit (plus they realized they were all mutants). Now they're changing their names AGAIN? The options astound me. I just pray they don't go by League (or Legion) of Losers. Would really ruin the joke.

As in the previous panel, Brevoort reiterated that fans should expect to see Thor "sooner rather than later" and mentioned readers should keep an eye on Fantastic Four [HASHTAG]#538[/HASHTAG].

Hmmmm...does he mean THOR? Or Donald Blake?

Asked when Ronin will be appearing in New Avengers again, Brevoort said that the character will show again, and play a crucial role in the series after Civil War.

Fantastic. Of course...WILL THERE be a team after Civil War?

When asked about X3, Quesada said that the movie was a lot of fun and a good X-Men story. "Sure, it had some holes," Quesada joked, "But hey, so do the comics." Over 40 years of monthly stories, Quesada said alter, there will always be things that don't fit together as tightly as readers would like.

Ahhh, Joe Quesada. Offering up the most retarded excuses.

Asked if Marvel is looking to clear up the Gwen Stacy story, Quesada teased that there are more stories to be told.

Asked if anything will be done with the suggestion that Wolverine has a brother, Quesada tersely replied, "Good question, next?"

Along those lines, Quesada said that there is a connection between Wolverine and Sabretooth, and it will be explored soon, and is not what fans are expecting.

Sabretooth's his sister. I'll bet ANYTHING.

X-Men: Phoenix - Warsong - supposedly the origin of the Stepford Cuckoos will be revealed (among other things)
X-Men: First Class (...see Professor Xavier and the X-Men, Hidden Years, and any other telling of events from the X-Men's beginning)
new X-23 mini-series (cause we ALL wanted that)

To be honest the first thing I thought when I heard of Warsong was "Yes, fanservice!" And sure enough, Scott and Emma are in bed in the pages on IGN. XD

Didn't we already know Wolvie has a brother? T.T A dead one, but still...

Okay, Thing #8 being the last issue and having the GLX has convinced me to go back and get all its back issues.

Ultimate Cable. Well at least they're treating him like they did with Ultimate Ben Reilley(sp)...

And can X-23 just kinda dissappear for a long while?

Well, Sabretooth told Wolverine at the end of one Ultimate issue that he was Wolvie's son, but it turned out he was lying to try to distract Wolverine. Makes you wonder though...

But that's the Ultimate MU. Same rules don't apply to the mainstream. Although, in the mainstream, Sabretooth once told Wolverine that he was his father. Turns out he DOES have a long history with Wolverine, but their first encounter resulted in Sabretooth killing Wolverine's first love.

And I don't remember Wolverine having a brother, but I haven't read a Wolverine solo book since 1999. And not many of the X-books since about 2001 (although I started reading Uncanny with the HoM story and X-Men with the Blood of Apocalypse story).

The Uncanny HoM story and Blood of Apocalypse are absolutely horrible arcs, you know.

And yeah, Logan had a dead older brother, as revealed in the Origin mini. And I remember something about him turning out not to be dead, with the powers of Logan and Kitty in Wolverine: The End. o.o But that's a The End book, so hopefully we don't have to worry about that. Or Gambit being a Nate Grey-like clone ceated by Sinister. I hope. >>

I'll give you Blood of Apocalypse (although it WAS good until that horrible ending), but the Uncanny HoM arc's one of my all time favs. Stars two of my favorite characters and faithfully tells another chapter in the long-running love story between Captain Britain and Meggan. And it was written by the guy that pretty much MADE their relationship.

OH, THAT'S where the brother's from.
