(Sorry if this has already been made.) Anyway, this can be anything game-wise (i.e. embarrassing loss, getting lost somewhere, etc.)

One time I went into a PokeMart after challenging a gym leader (can't recall who it was) and legitimately tried to heal my Pokemon there. I tried for about thirty seconds before realizing that I went into the wrong building, refdgid. Definitely a 'loss' on my part.

When I first got Gold, I spent 15 minutes trying to get out of my room when I started a game. :p

When I first played Silver, I was stuck with Morty's Gym for about 3 days. Stupid Gym puzzle.
All I did in that time was grind, though, until my friend told me how to do it, so I was stupidly high leveled for the battle.

I tried to GTS trade an event Pokemon. To add to the embarrassment, that was only two months ago.

The only thing I can remember was trying to figure out Lt. Surge's Gym puzzle, which took me about 1 hour.

I was a noob/unlucky, what can I say?

In Pokemon Red I...

Could not get out of my house for more than 4 hours (kept making new save data thinking there was a glitch in the game) until I realised that the carpet by the front door was not just decoration :banghead:

Got lost in Viridian forest (a common occurrence apparently back in the days XD)

Threw my Masterball at a Geodude not knowing what the ball was capable of :dumb:

Thought that if I stayed in the Pokemon Lab at Cinnabar Island long enough Mew would suddenly appear to challenge me (waited for hours) :dizzy:

Started a battle with Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave and fled the battle because I didn't have enough potions and pokeballs...came back later "Huh!? Where's Mewtwo!!!?" :bawl:

Also I had not encountered Zapdos in Pokemon Red, so in Pokemon Yellow I thought that Zapdos was a boss I had to defeat in order to obtain an item, or something.

So I fainted it and saved the game until my friend told me what I had done and I cried XD

My biggest flub was catching every available pokemon in Blue version and the saving after catching Missingo. The game never could save a file and constantly reset them every-time you restart the unit. I never realized it until I asked my friend to trade his Red version ones with me, it was embarrassing in 6th grade to sit there at the lunch table with my friend after bragging about how I managed to "catch them all" only to find them all gone.

If it weren't for the Gameboy Memory Card I would have to start it all over again everytime. Another fail in Blue for me was my level 100 Raticate, it was the only one I trained to that level. When I faced another classmate one day I only used him in battle, never landed a single Hyper Fang and lost it to a level 25 Garados. Worse off all my team were around Level 26 or so because of my poor training. So they all wiped, I never knocked out a single pokemon on his team. I went home sad on the bus that day.

On a final Blue note, I let my friend name the my character and rival, Bear and Pants. Pants has challenged you to a battle, Bear crawls under the stairs and cries.

My current fail is my poor Lilligant. I caught a Petilil when I first got to the forest and just flat out evolved it without checking any of the moves it learned compared to it's evolved form. Not to mention it has the Chlorophyll ability. However I still don't want to replace it, I'm at a stage of conflict now. The only way I'll replace it is if I catch or hatch a shiny and it has Own Tempo.

.....Emerald I couldn't figure out how to exit the moving truck >.< I spent a while standing there thinking some scene was gonna happen, then after waiting for like ten minutes I ran around for another ten thinking I had to get something out of the boxes......

Getting stuck by the clock in Pokémon Sapphire. I couldn't read English that well yet, so I was stuck there for around two hours until I began to walk around and pressed A the whole time. Then the clock. Oh. You had to set the clock...:dumb:

In Blue version I threw my Master Ball at a Machop by accident and fainted the three legendary birds trying to catch them, all because I didn't realize that I could just shut the game off and on again -_-

Well, there is that time when I couldn't get out of Victory Road in Emerald...so I left the game dusting for 2 years, until I got Diamond. My Swampert was level 93 >_<

My biggest and most dumb failure as of today is never realizing that the daycare was on route 3 in White version, I've been playing all this time and thought they left it out of the game.

In Emerald when you start off in a moving truck, there's no movement allowed for a few seconds, and I assumed it'd automatically move me out of the truck. So, I waited there for at least 5 minutes ._.

I decided to that I was going to transfer my bonus disk Jirachi's to my Diamond cart. to use as trade fodder so I decided to use my Emerald cart. so after I had all of them on my Emerald cart. I transferred my first set but had to wait a whole day to transfer more well the next day my little cousin came over and asked if he could play one of my games I said he could play my leaf green since it had no important pokemon anymore well you may have guessed which cart. he picked up. 2 1/2 boxes of Jirachi's gone.

I just grinded a Pokémon on Black 30 levels and turned off my DS without saving.

When I was new to Pokemon, I thought it was good to use a Hydro Pump with Gyarados on a Dragonite versus an Ice Fang.

Boy do I feel stupid looking back at that.

In Soulsilver, I didn't know that there was a path leading out the lighthouse, so I was stuck inside the middle of the lighthouse dungeon for hours
