This is mainly an "I want your opinion on how to spend my money" thing.

I have a 3-ring binder that I have separate pages in to add cards. Easy enough, I can buy more pages if I need to.

Then, this little beauty comes out.

I'm loving the Skyla design, but then I see "240 cards each."

Should I really bother with it? I think it looks awesome, but it having a set number of pages/holders seems kind of pointless. Does anyone else use these books/sleeve folders?

Neither. Get a Monster Binder or an Ultra Pro Pro Binder. Those things look great, hold a lot of cards, and are effectively indestructible.

In all seriousness, what do you want to put in there? A specific collection of cards or, like, all the ones that you own?

If you are looking to showcase your Legendaries, EX's, etc, go for the character binder. If you want to put lots of your cards in it (i.e. not to show off) just use your 3-ring and get $10-15 of 9-slot sleeves.

I have been using card protectors and a metal tin for a long while now, just for my playable decks. but for my Rares and show off cards I have a Trapper keeper. Keeps them safe and has a nice zipper. Just my two cents.
