Black 2 cartridge problem?

Hello everyone, don't know if this thread goes here, so I'd like to ask if it doesn't to please move it. Anyway, when I try to play my Black 2 game on my 3DS, the 3DS doesn't seem to register it. I know it's not the 3DS, because it can still play other games. When I put Black 2 inside, the 3DS says that there's no game card inserted. There is a small dent on it, but my White has more dents but works fine. Any help?

It is the same region as your 3DS, correct? That's one possible reason as to why it would not even recognize the game is in the game card slot.

Do you have an older DS at all? Does the game work fine in that still? The 3DS game card slot is actually quite a bit different then that of the DS family. It's possible damage to the game card, like a dent, could cause it to not be recognized. However, if your White still works that's probably not it.

Yes, it is the same region. I've played it several times before on my 3DS. I'll see if it works on my friends DSi. He mentioned it could be the contact points being too dirty, but I cleaned it and it still didn't work.

I've had my 3DS not recognize game cards after the contact points collected dust for a while. Cleaning it should make it work, though.

I cleaned it TWICE more, and tried it on his DSi. STILL didn't work. Thinking it might be damaged internally, but don't want to take it apart to check in case I break it even more....
