Since they seem to have had some changes in the games and are probably more than just aesthetic changes, they can probably have their own thread.

Notably, Black City is confirmed to have the Black Skycraper, which sounds similar to the Battle Tower. At the end you battle Alder's grandson, Banjiro, (who looks really cool imo). He gives you a a Gible when you defeat him.

White Forest has the White Woodland, instead of Black Skyscraper. Banjirou is also able to be battled here aswell.

You can swap between Black City and White Forest:

The swap is done using the Key Transfter system (between two B2W2 games), which is the feature that affects the difficulty setting.

So it requires two games and two DS and you cannot use Wi-Fi to do it, as it's the same thing as the difficulty settings.

Also, I think that you can swap between White Forest and Black City using Memory Link (I think).
Memory Link is unrelated to this. The swap is done using the Key Transfter system (between two B2W2 games), which is the feature that affects the difficulty setting.

That's it. I couldn't remember what it was. Thanks for that, I'll change it now.

Didn't some leaked information confirm that the battles are present in both versions?

Is it? I haven't seen that myself, that's why I was guessing. So it no longer has exclusive wild pokemon?

I don't know the full dynamics of how it works, I just know that Banjiro and his battle aren't version-exclusive.

From the looks of it, it doesn't seem like Black City and White Forest is going to decrease in size if Banjirou is there. At least I hope not.

I think they should rework Black City and White Forest more... because after finishing the game and all the quests and stuff theres really not much to do except catching and breeding pokemon and making money (im talking about offline now), and i havent played B/W 2 (im waiting for the official release here!) but its always the same. I think they should make both City and Forest much bigger with many different features, maybe some minigames, more people to talk to, some offline events etcetc. I play on wifi but it would be so much better if they reworked it and made it really big and interesting i guess its too late nowT^T

Seems like having a full team of Level 100's will be your best bet for brawling your way through to Banjirou, as well as moves with a lot of PP. I should just make my Banjirou ass-kicking team right now before the games come out.

So the Area Leaders of the Black Skyscraper (possibly same for the White Forest one too):
via Serebii
Area 2's leader: Watchog Lv. 56, Swoobat Lv. 56, Basculin Lv. 56

Banjirou was chatting with the Area 3 leader as I went in.
Area 3 Leader: Bouffalant Lv. 59, Swanna Lv. 59, Scolipede Lv. 59

Area 4 Leader: Gigalith Lv. 62, Durant Lv. 62, Seviper Lv. 62

Area 5 Leader: Bronzong Lv. 65, Golurk Lv. 65, Kabutops Lv. 65

Area 6 Leader: Porygon-Z Lv. 68, Breloom Lv. 68, Armaldo Lv. 68

Judging by this, the levels increase by 3 for each area, suggesting that Banjirou is Area 10 Leader with his Level 80 Pokemon. On a side note, Area 1 leader should be at level 53.

I like this idea of swapping between White Forest and Black City. I was disappointed to find there weren't any wild Ralts in Black, and that they were exclusive to White Forest. If this is the same case for B&W2, I'll be more than happy. Plus Black City bored me after a while.

Can anyone explain what the White Woodland is? Unless I have bad eyesight, I couldn't find any info about it.

The White Woodland is probably the equivalent to Black Skyscraper, which means the challenges I've highlighted in my previous post is what you're doing there.

So Serebii's starting his trek back up Black Skyscraper.

Interesting note: The floor layout is randomized. I guess that's part of the challenge. Furthermore, the reason why the things are called "Area" rather than floor is because after floor 6, the Areas begin to take up more floors.

This makes me wonder even more, is the Black City mechanics the same in these games as the past games, or have they left that annoying stuff for Join Avenue?

Do you gain experience in the Skyscraper? It sounds like a great place for training.

Black Skyscraper sounds like quite the challenge. Serebii seems to be getting a bit frustrated. :p

Serebii's getting close though:

Area 7 Leader (Finally)
Gyarados Lv. 71, Weavile Lv. 71, Dusknoir Lv. 71

Area 8 Leader (though really these are probably all random, will repeat some tomorrow and see)
Infernape Lv. 74, Archeops Lv. 74, Tornadus Incarnate Forme Lv. 74

Area 9 Leader
Hydreigon Lv. 77, Entei Lv. 77, Articuno Lv. 77

I don't know why people are so upset that Banjirou wasn't Champion. He gets a much cooler challenge.

You know, its almost like those Wifi Mewtwo and Darkrai events Game Freak gave us was them going "Yeah....you're going to need these"

I'm glad there's something challenging and worth looking forward to in this game. Sounds awesome.
