For the third of our speculation contests, we'd like for you all to guess what the types will be of the fully evolved forms of our 3 newly released starters.

At this stage, while we know we have a standard rotation of grass/water/fire for our starters again, their secondary types (if any) and the secondary types of their evolutions (again, if any), are unknown.

Assuming that there are no new types, then there are over 4900 possible combinations of types possible for the final evos. That should be more than enough to satisfy you all. While not strictly required for your guesses, we'd like it if you would all explain exactly how you arrived at your particular guesses as well. One "guess" for the purposes of this contest is 1 set of type combinations for each of the 3 Pokémon.

In the event of a tiebreak where we've only got people with 1/3 or 2/3 correct, then the first person to have gotten the highest number of correct guesses wins it.

Remember also, while you can discuss things and make as many guesses as you like, only your final guess counts. So if you're the 10th person to suggest the same thing, but the first 9 people changed their minds, and you didn't, then if that ended up being the right answer, you'd win.

To clarify that further, since so many people have been doing it...
You can not make multiple guesses in one post. If you're starting to say things like this OR this, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG. If you're offering multiple possibilities for the same Pokémon in the same post, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG.
I hope that's clear enough.

This thread will be closed in a weeks time for our 4th speculation contest. In the event that the information is leaked or announced before the end of that period, the thread will be closed immediately, and the closest guess before that will win. Otherwise, the winner will be decided when we actually find out what will be in the games.

Grass - Grass/Dragon
Fire - Fire/Steel
Water - Water/Ice
 
Grass- Grass/Poison - Tsutaaja's a snake and snakes are poisonous
Fire- Fire - I just have a feeling that Pokuba's evolution will be a pure fire type
Water- Water/Ice - Mijumaru's body has a resemblance to those of Ice types

Fire/Ground - It's Pig. Mud, anyone? And It's final form will most Likely be a Warthog.
Water/Ice - It's color scheme/overall shape reminds me of a Snowman wearing a Sweater.
Grass/Poison - It's a Snake...

Grass- grass/poison
I decided to go with poison due to it being a snake.

Fire- fire/ground
I decided to go with ground due to it being a pig and liking mud.

Water- water/ice
I decided to go ice because for the most part sea otters live in cold waters.

Water/Ice, Water/Steel, Water/Ground, Water/Fighting, (The bullied otter evolves into a beast. You said something? *cracks knuckles*), Water/Dark (poor thing goes emo because he's picked on so much *shot*)

Fire/Ground, Fire/Dark, Fire/Steel, Fire/Psychic, Fire/Ghost (going outside of the box)

Water/Fighting
Grass/Psychic (it looks too "serene" to me to be anything else)
 
Pokabu = Fire/Ground Reason:pigs are usually in the mud, and mud is associated with the ground

Tsutaja = Grass/Poison Reason:Tsutaja's is a snake which are usually venomous

Mijumaru = Water/Ice = It's never been used for a starters type. The starter ia also a otter
 
'Kay, these are mine:

Grass: Grass/Psychic
Fire: Fire/Ground
Water: Water/Steel

What does one obtain for winning a contest? I was just wondering about this a few minutes ago.
 
Lets see, I'm probably basing alot of these off the color schemes of the new pokemon, but I stand by my guesses.

With the grass type, I see some sort of psychic type going along with the grass. With the way the eyes look and the form of this pokemon, I can easily see it using alot of the different psychic moves. I'm also going along with the whole snake thing when making this assumption. Psychic is also one of the types not found in starter pokemon.
First starter(Tsutaaja): Grass/Psychic

Now, with the fire type, I'm going to have to guess dark. It looks a bit obvious but a part fire, part dark pig pokemon would also be a very interesting new idea to add to the game. Also, dark is another type not found in starters and is pretty uncommon in general.
Second starter(Pokabu): Fire/Dark

First off, I love the water type. It's adorable, will still some cool looking potential. It's pretty obvious, but I'm going with ice on this one. It's got a blue color, but very faded blue like you see in alot of ice types and, like dark and psychic, hasn't been in a starter yet. Plus, the otter cracks shells on its belly and I can see this one somewhere down the line smashing ice.
Third starter(Mijumaru): Water/Ice
 
Fire starter will end up being a Fire/Dark type, due to its black and brick-red design.

Grass starter will end up being a Psychic/Grass type, due to its purple and green design.

Water starter will end up being a Water/Normal type, due to the fact that it is so relatively close to the Pokemon Bibarel.
 
Grass type- Grass/Poison
He's based on a snake.
Fire type- Fire/Dark
His dark color scheme :p I know that's the worst reason to think he's dark but...I think he will be.
Water type- Water/Ice
No particular reason. I just guess Ice because it reminds me of ice type Pokemon. His apperance makes me think of Ice types.
 
Grass-Electric (it has those two yellow things on it's neck)
Fire-Dark (it has a black stripe and I can see a big firey demon boar)
Water- (I think it will be pure water)
 
-Grass/Dragon-Because he looks like a salamander-ish thing
-Fire/Ground-pig. end of story
-water/ice- he's a polar bear!!
 
Grass/Fighting, The grass starter looks very agile, and i doubt they would make Dragon a secondary typing to a starter pokémon

Fire/Ground, Its a pig, pigs stereotypically like mud.

Water/Ice, The water starter looks arctic, i sense a bear styled type that involves Ice
 
Since the obvious guesses (and what I would have guessed) have been taken and I'd prefer not to repeat anything, I'll go with these:

Grass/Fighting

Water/Psychic

Fire/Psychic

These have never been type combos on any starter and they are different than what looks obvious. Tsutaaja kind of reminds me of the Ralts family, but I thought it looks more like it could become Fighting after it evolves due to its biped status. I thought Pokabu reminded me of Spoink/Grumpig, so I'm picking Psychic as the secondary type because of that. While Mijumaru looks like an otter, it reminds me too much of Spheal's line and I don't think we need another Water/Ice type. It looks like it could possibly pick up Psychic as it's secondary-type though.
