For the sixth of our speculation contests, we'd like you to all have a go at guessing the names and functions of the new Poké Balls that we'll see introduced in the new games.

In the first generation, there were only 5 ball types. Now, we have 25. We have no idea as of yet how many of those will turn up again in Black & White, and how many new ones will be joining their ranks.

You shouldn't have any problems with the names here. All the balls thusfar in the Japanese versions have been given names in English (rendered in Katakana in Japan), which with relatively few exceptions have actually been identical to their later names in the English language release.

So, here's how this will work. Your guesses will be lists of new Balls, together with the functions you think they will have. Your answers will be scored once we have the list of balls.

For each name you get right, you will receive 2 points. You get this point regardless of if the function you've got down for it is right or wrong.
For each function you get right, you will receive 2 points. You get this point regardless of if the name you've got down for it is right or wrong.

For each name you get wrong, you lose 1 point. You lose this regardless of if the function you've got down for it is right or wrong.
For each function you get wrong, you lose 1 point. You lose this point regardless of if the name you've got down for it is right or wrong.

There are also ways that you may get bonus points
You may optionally include a description of the design of the ball. If you get a design correct, you get an extra bonus 2 points.
For each ball where you guess both the ball name and the actual function it has, you get an extra bonus 2 points.
If by some miracle you manage to guess a ball's name, function and its design, you've probably got an inside source, but we'll give you an extra 5 points anyway.

If we need tiebreakers after that, we'll let you know. ^^;;;; As always, if for whatever reason multiple people have identical answers, the first person to post that answer without later changing their mind trumps everyone else.

To clarify further, since so many people have been doing it in the earlier contests...
You can not make multiple guesses in one post. If you're starting to say things like this OR this, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG. If you're offering multiple possibilities for the function or appearance of the same ball name in the same post, or multiple possible names for the same function, etc, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG.
I hope that's clear enough.

This thread will be closed in approximately a weeks time for our 6th speculation contest. In the event that the information is leaked or announced before the end of that period, the thread will be closed immediately, and the closest guess before that will win. Otherwise, the winner will be decided when we actually find out what will be in the games.

Double ball: can catch two pokémon in a double battle at once, then splits. Red with orange circles.

Luce Ball
A somewhat different Poké Ball that makes it easier to catch wild Pokémon during the day or in bright places.

Atmos Ball
A somewhat different Poké Ball that provides a better catch rate if it is under a weather condition.

Exp. Ball
A somewhat different Poké Ball which yields experience to any Pokemon used against the captured Pokemon

Okay, here are some guesses from me:
Feather Ball - Counterpart to the Heavy Ball, allowing lighter Pokémon to be caught more easily (probably becomes available later in the game, to avoid the player catching the early, weak Pokémon too easily) - perhaps a sky-blue colour with a white cloud design
Slow Ball - Counterpart to the Fast Ball, allowing slower Pokémon to be caught more easily (as the Fast ball gives a multiplier for Pokémon with a Speed greater than 100, perhaps this one could give a multiplier for a Speed lower than about 50?) - dark blue with a black vertical line across the top
Baby Ball - Gives a multiplier bonus when used to capture wild Baby Pokémon, as these can be found in the wild occasionally - pale pink with a light blue star design
Mercy Ball - Gives a large multiplier bonus if the wild Pokémon starts to use Struggle - green with a blue cross on top
Early Ball - Counterpart to the Dusk Ball, allowing Pokémon to be caught more easily in the morning - light blue with a yellow circle on top
Fog Ball - Gives a multiplier bonus if the Fog weather condition is in effect - black and dark grey patched design

Advantage ball- Has a higher accuracy when your pokemons level is lower than the one our trying to catch. White shell with yellow stars.
Mechaball- Has a higher accuracy when catching pokemon close to urban areas. Steel-like appearance with a button that looks like a LED light (I don't know how that design would work, but I'm sure its possible)
