For the seventh of our speculation contests, we'd like for you to guess the name and goal of the villainous organisation(s) in Black & White.

In every main series Pokémon game to date (and many of the spin-off games too), we've had a villainous group who your character runs into and foils. There's been a large selection of them, so rather than link you to each, here's the list.

So far, there's not an obvious running theme going here. Of the main series ones, we've had 2 space themed ones, two earth themed ones. 1 man-made thing, 3 natural. There's still a lot of possibilities for them to explore there.

We don't expect you to get the exact name right, simply because most of you don't know Japanese, but we're looking for you to try and get as close as possible with the name meaning. ie. If you guessed "Flower" and the team name in Japanese was "Hana", which means Flower, then you're going to get the prize.

Remember that we do want you to guess at the goals. The primary thing we'll be judging on for this one is the name. The goal will be used primarily in the event that no names are even close, or where multiple people got close without being exactly on the money.

Remember also, while you can discuss things and make as many guesses as you like, only your final guess counts. So if you're the 10th person to suggest the same thing, but the first 9 people changed their minds, and you didn't, then if that ended up being the right answer, you'd win.

To clarify further, since so many people have been doing it in the earlier contests...
You can not make multiple guesses in one post. If you're starting to say things like this OR this, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG. If you're offering multiple possibilities for the name, etc, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG.
In the case of this contest, you can of course list multiple goals for the villains, but they will be taken together as a set. No "a or b", it'll all be "a and b".
I hope that's clear enough.

This thread will be closed in approximately a weeks time for our 8th speculation contest. In the event that the information is leaked or announced before the end of that period, the thread will be closed immediately, and the closest guess before that will win. Otherwise, the winner will be decided when we actually find out what will be in the games.

I think the new villainous team will be called Team Mirage.
The team will try to capture Zorua & Zoroark to try to use their powers of illusion to take over the world however they please. Obviously, their plans will fail.

I will throw out this idea:

Team Shadow:
An evil team with the intent on eliminating pokemon they deam "useless" on the world. Weak pokemon such as babies, certain bugs, and alot of lower evolutions are what they're trying to eliminate. They also have plans on capturing the legendaries and using them as tools of destruction. They also do experiments to have pokemon be born as they higher evolutions so they can completely cancel out the lower forms. The pokemon they use are usually heavy and large types.
Team Shadow will also have an oppoising team, Team Light, which fights to stop them and on occasion teams up with the protagonist. In an effort to prove to Team Shadow that pokemon that appear weak can be strong too, they commonly use smaller and apparently weaker pokemon.
My theory is that Team Shadow is trying to capture the White Mascot legendary, a pokemon known for evil and destruction, so they can advance they're plans and Team Light, will go after the Black Mascot legendary, a pokemon known to fight for good and prosperity, to save the world. Based on which game you choose, you will either try to catch/defeat the black mascot to keep it away from Team Shadow, or catch/defeat the white mascot to , if caught, use it against Team Shadow, or, If defeated, prove your worthiness to it so it will fight Team Shadow without you.

Kind of a darker mission but this generation seems to be reaching out to a greater, more mature audience.

Team Explosion
Goal--> use Pokemon to harness the power of one of the two mascots (can't remember their names...) to change the world as they please.

Team Rocket shall rise from the ashes and try to take over the world muhahahahaha!

:unworthy:All Hail Team Rocket!

Team Destiny

Team Destiny see's the Isshu region turning away from nature and toward technology at what they fear is a breakneck piece. Fearing that the world will be corrupted by technology, Team Destiny decides that only they can change the path of Isshu's destiny (hence the name) and guide it towards less dependence on technology. They plan to use the legendary Pokemon to further this goal by either overloading or wiping out technology.

rockets..aquas..magmas...galactics..

How about some Team Spectrum?

Team Rocket

After their failed attempts in Kanto and Johto, they will try to take over Isshu

I'm going with the Day and Night theme for the duo, an idea I presented to this section a couple days after joining.

Team Day and Night.

(interchange Night for Day, Day for Night, "day life" for "night life" and Reshiram for Zekrom)

Team Day is a conservative sort of team that wants eternal day so there would be no "night life". They try to summon Zekrom to eliminate and fail, sending him into a wild rage and creating the threat of eternal night. The player is nearby and tries to stop Zekrom, having to fight Team Night all along the way (as it's their goal to have eternal night).

The hero wins the battle between him and the team leader. Team Night refuses to move out of the way. Team Day's leader, seeing the error of his ways, randomly pops in and subdues Team Night's leader so the hero can subdue Zekrom.

Afterwards, Team Night is arrested and Team Day disappears, it's leader seeing the problems his wants have caused. The team eventually dissolves peacefully.

Somewhere along the story, the player runs into Darkrai and Cresselia for the sheer purpose o giving them an actual purpose in the games other than random legendaries.

Team Demon - the members wear black with red highlights.
in white: goal a. get Zekrom
goal b. use Zekrom to start a giant war between humans and pokemon until nature is eliminated and machines take over.

in black: heroic team.

Team Angel - the members wear white with blue highlights.
in black: same as is Demon in white, but with Reshiram and destruction of cities in order to force humans and pokemon to rely on their roots.

In white: heroes.

Team Yin/Yang

Either one tries to do things to better nature or technology, however it disrupts balance and upsets Reshiram/Zekrom.

Team kage and Team hikari.

They are in opposite games but their objective is the same: going for the version legend in order to erradicate light/darkness or good/evil respectively.

An invading nation trying to take over Isshu and in the process they anger the box legend. The nation's theme changes between games but is essentially the same in both games.

Team Dusk (as in border between light and dark), they will atempt to elemonate all so called "evil" in the isshu region, however they end up taking things too far and start planning to destroy the regon itself, with the use of the legondary pokemon,to, as they belive, protect the region from further corruption.(basicly i beleve it will be the well known, corupted justace plot, as this would fit well into a pokemon game)

team Cyber, try to control the cyber space using zekrom and using the natural world with reshiram including the third trio to make balance and wrecked havoc through out isshu

Aqua teen hunger force.

jk

I'll say team black and team white. Both teams appearing in both versions, but team white being more predominant in black and vise versa. They are competing to capture Zekrom and Reshiram to abuse their special powers (whatever they turn out to be.) Basically the same as galactic trying to use Palkia/Dialga to create their own dimension, but more fitted to the box legendaries "special powers."

I also think Team Rocket will make an appearance, but they will not be the main villains. Perhaps they will even turn out to help take down Team Black and White in their misguided missions.

Team Spirit

Their goal is to take over the spiritual world of yin/yang and disturb the natural balance for their own wants

Oooh, this one's a bit harder than some of the others.

Team Jungle (lame, I know, but it's all I could come up with)

The team leader and admins believe that Global Warming is destroying the planet and the only way to stop it is by taking control of one of the legendary Pokémon (Reshiram/Zekrom, depending on version) in order to destroy all the cities and built-up areas leaving only countryside. They cause the legendary Pokémon to go on a rampage, starting in a small area of countryside and when the player captures/defeats it it turns the area it had destroyed and other large, uninhabited areas into thick jungle, showing that global warming can be stopped in other ways. (also lame, but relevant to a current political issue)

ehhhh, it's rather lame, but it'll do.

Some reason i get the feeling that the Legendary Pokemon would have something to do with color... Just Think for a second, after Red, Blue, Yellow (Green for Japan), the color of the version had to greatly with the themed pokemon, and since pokemon has been going on that color has become more crucial to that themed pokemon.

My guess is that the evil organization wants to remove color from the world, making everything Black (in White), and everything White (in Black). I dont know what drove me to this conclusion but its what i am thinking judging by the info we have seen so far.

The teams, there will only be one, Team Anticolor...

But thats just me...

I think there will be two teams fighting against each other in the storyline, Team Black and Team White. Each team will try to take control over their respective legendary Pokémon, and use it to open a gate to a parallel universe to find and capture Zoroark, and use his illusive powers to rule the world.
