This week, we want you to have a guess at what evolutionary chains from the previous generations will get new Pokémon.
This topic for this week was originally going to be to guess what the new Rattata and Pidgey would be based off, but they kind of ruined that for us with the Pokémon they showed in CoroCoro, didn't they? ^^;;;
This one's a bit more simple compared to the previous ones. All you have to do is guess the lines. You get a point for every evolutionary line you get correct (two if you can specify if it's an evolution or pre-evolutions, three if you specify both and it is both). Points will then be reduced for every evolutionary line you get wrong. The person with the highest point total who actually got an evolutionary line correct wins.
If we still need more tiebreakers after that, we'll let you know. ^^;;;; We probably wouldn't need to go beyond the 2nd or 3rd round however, at most. As always, if for whatever reason multiple people have identical answers, the first person to post that answer without later changing their mind trumps everyone else.
This thread will be closed in approximately a weeks time for our 9th speculation contest. We hope. We're actually out of topics for speculation contests right now, since some of the things have already been guessed. We've got 2 more speculation contests to go, so if we can't think of one before a week is up, this one will stay open until we do think of one. If you've got any ideas, throw them at me via PM. ^^;;;
In the unlikely event that the information is leaked or announced before the end of that period (and we doubt that, since we need to know all the Pokémon to know this one), the thread will be closed immediately, and the closest guess before that will win. Otherwise, the winner will be decided when we actually find out what will be in the games.
