That's right! ROD BLAGOJEVICH, possibly the most corrupt governor in history, has been removed as governor of Illinois! Finally! And the 13% of people that still liked him have been hurt by the senate's blatant disregard for the constitution! Or so says the pwnd FORMER governor.

READ ON.

Well, that's a very good thing. I mean he tried to sell Obama's seat for crying out loud.

I know Im like...the only republican in Illinois but let me lay it out.

We (not I) voted for Blagowhats his face...
Then we (not I) voted for him AGAIN!
THEN, this year, we had a proposition on the ballot to rewrite the constitution so we COULD impeach him...and we (not I) voted no...

THEN All this stuff came out....

...Will someone take me in? I dont think I can live in Illinois anymore...

No need to worry, SatoshixHikari. I might know another girl from a different forum who'd be very happy to see this guy go. Personally speaking, my overall reaction has been something close to amused disbelief, or disbelieving amusement, or maybe even both. I couldn't help chuckling when Victor Davis Hanson compared Blagojevich to a 4th-century-AD Roman emperor who tried to sell proconsulships in the fading days of the Roman Empire, then again when Dr. Hanson took note of the other notorious individuals of the "Chicago Way", from Bill Ayers to Jeremiah Wright.:

I can only wonder what else to expect out of this guy -- or the system over which he presided -- but between his (literally) poetic antics and his attempt to sell now-President Barack Obama's Senate seat, Rod Blagojevich is a man I'll remember with disgust and amazement.

Well, I don't know about most corrupt. At least his actions didn't indirectly cause the death of an entire family. (ie, George Ryan and the Hired Truck/License for Bribe Scandal)

I will admit, I did vote for Blagojevich in 2006 for governor. But it wasn't because I liked him, it's because he was less scary than Judy Baar Topinka. However, I am glad to see Blago leave. If you do something illegal, you deserve the consequences. And it probably didn't help that he had a massive ego throughout the whole ordeal.

Just hoping interim Governor Pat Quinn isn't anything like him.

Well gee, I hope that won't end the sheer lulz this crazy, crazy man brings.

they should have elected Giovanni (Giovanni for president 2012) anyway im glad hes gones he was a major D!ck sorry for that

About time. What chance did he have anyway? This isn't really big news.

Well, I will admit to not having heard much of this guy until several weeks ago. As soon as that infamous cursing audio clip was released, I felt my jaw drop. I may be as clueless as the rest of you about what Blago plans to do, and perhaps I sense that most of us won't care much. That said, I might have a sense of grim amusement about me should Blago's antics continue, maybe even as an analyst for Fox News Channel. (Talk about a wild scenario.):

On the local news radio station they were asking people what job they thought Blagojevich should do. One suggested that he should work for Ticketmaster since he is good at selling seats while another suggested he should promote shampoo since he has good hair. LOL!

In all fairness, the guy didn't have a chance, he couldn't call witnesses or introduce evidence. He was pretty much fucked, it's not a very fair system.

I guess when it comes to extreme cases like these you're not allowed to show evidence and witnesses so it becomes one-sided?
