Is this real? It almost seems too much of a contrived jab at the "OMG ANIME IS EVIL" crowd to me.
 
I see Christians are getting even more desperate to round up kids or teenagers for no reason (they're easy to indoctrinate anyway, ain't that right? [/sarcasm]).

I've read the first chapter. It takes place in 200X in Croatia. The main guy meets a girl asking where heaven is...so he knocks her out and locks her in a trunk. Then he ends up knocking is grandma in the ocean... And yes, he almost rapes the girl. Then Lucifer shows up dropping candy machines on the guy's boat and singing in Italian wearing a poncho. And Vulcan (horny Croatian boy) can command sea turtles it seems.

Oh, and the girl looking for heaven who's almost raped by a horny Croatian boy? That's Jesus.

I couldn't make that up if I tried.

I guess "Christian Black Metal" didn't work out so well.
 
At least the other Christian manga attempts I've seen are pretty decent. Have you not heard of an actual manga really adapting stories from the Old & New Testament? I believe there's an article on it on Anime News Network but I'm too lazy to get it. They're pretty much like how animation adaptations of the Bible stories try to convey. But yes, at least those don't try to to add random boobage and raep to attract followers of Christ.

Oh, you mean that fantastic train wreck that is Serenity? What with its Mary Sue characters and "Let's put SD characters on EVERY FREAKING PAGE" mentality? Oh yes, very decent. You know, it's stuff like this that gives NORMAL Christians a bad rap.

I miss Superbook... and that one wasn't even trying to save anyone.

Nor do I. I was simply replying to vee2x's post. Yeah, I don't expect a US release of this one. Not for a LONG time.

Oh it definitely wasn't that. I mean the one I was referring was literally called "THE Manga Bible."
