Blaziken Or Infernape?

A Pokemon thread to vote on 2 very similar Pokemon with the Same type. This Week is Blaziken or Infernape.

i choose Infernape because he looks alot cooler. and is Faster then Blaziken.

if we're talking about competitive battling, then it's infernape, no doubt
blazekin's base 80 speed really isnt enough for a pokemon as frail as it is
it can work well as a revenge killer when equiped with a scarf

however, infernape's speed means that as a revenger it's got the edge as it can outspeed pokemon even after speed boosts.

blazekin's only plus points are it's access to brave bird and it's higher attack.

but overall, infernape's the best

Blaziken and Infernape are pretty similar, but there are a few key differences.

Blaziken is more physically inclined while Infernape is both adept at using both physical moves and special moves. Infernape is much faster though.

Blaziken has access to a few moves that Infernape can't learn, such as Reversal, Agility and it has the ability to Baton Pass.

Infernrape no doubt. Probably the best starter ever made in my opinion.

Infernape is a pokemon whose usefulness is only exceeded by his bad-assery. Blaziken is a fire chicken.

True story. I was just embellishing to make Blaziken sound not as cool. Infernrape does pretty much top the scale of badass when it comes to pokemon though.

i dunno, i think as badass go, some of the huge legendaries are hard to beat, rayquaza and groudon

i never liked the look of infernape :/
i prefered blazekin ah ha
if it had, say, 20 more base attack it would be amazing

Woops forgot to put up the poll ^^". But anyway. as it is Infernape is the most capable Starter that hits the others pretty hard. (even if it is only because of the messed up Starter types this time around)

I don't really know the two's base stats and movepool (but according to the thread, it seems that Infernape has the advantage), but I pick Blaziken as my personal preffered pkmn since:

-He was my first gen III pokémon.
-He's pretty cool, imo.
-He came before Infernape, and thus, I find that Infernape is an unoriginal starte.
-I really, really, really hate monkeys.

And honestly, aren't there more pokémon more "badass" than an angry flaming monkey? XD

I've said it before, I'll say it again... Infernape is a cheap Blaziken rip-off. I mean it wouldn't be so bad if they were like a few Gens apart, but THEY WERE CONSECUTIVE!

Pokemon that everyone and their mother uses in competitive battling bother me. A lot. Therefore, I shall say Blaziken for the cool factor.

I like more anyway since it's served me well ingame. I've got sour memories of my Infernape on Diamond sucking royally. >_>

Blaziken is superior when it comes to its attack and special attack. Its only bad attributes is its slower speed, which can be compinsated by Baton Passing a speed boost to it or using agility on itself. It also has a great movepool. With moves such as Eathquake, it can be a threat to other fire types and it could easily OHKO alot of them do to its High attack stat. Blaziken overall is a good offensive pokemon if you take advantage of his strengths.

Infernape's best attribute is his speed. He can kill pokemon alot faster than blaziken and still has a decent movepool. With access to Close Combat, fake out, calm mind, U-turn, mach punch and taunt it can create havoc in OU battles if used properly.

Infernape is better in the OU environment.
So if you want a to use a fighting/fire type in an OU battle than Infernape is the better pokemon.

But personally I like Blaziken more. He's a badass fire chicken indeed.

I'm gonna say Blaziken because it looks cool and is just... great. I still wonder why they made Infernape have the exact same type as Blaziken only a generation later.

Blaziken... Well one thing Infernape MAY be better in competitive Battles or so people say, but for me, I don't do such things so it doesn't matter to me as much.

But any way when I chose Torchic as my starter in Ruby I really enjoyed using it. Because of the Moves it learns as balanced. Chimchar didn't really give me that enjoyment like Torchic did.

Also Brave Bird looks better to me than Close Combat.

Blaziken, mostly because you'd expect a monkey to go, pardon the pun, apeshit on someone.

But a Kung Fu chicken? Oh hell yes.

But really, Infernape was just an attempt at making an "improved Blaziken."

I dunno if it's the obviousness of this, or the fact that I hate monkeys in general, or maybe because I just hate Infernape's design (it and Swampert are the only starters I can honestly say I hate designwise,) but Infernape just doesn't do it for me.

Also, when I used it in my Diamond version...let's just say it was Roserade who beat Cynthia for me.

As for Blaziken...well, I beat Emerald just with Blaziken...and the Fire Chicken looks a thousand times cooler than the Fire Monkey IMO...and it's tied for my favorite Hoenn Pokemon with Sceptile...and I don't see it every three seconds in OU...and it's my favorite Fire type starter of all...

Yeah, Blaziken pwns. Although I will admit to Infernape being generally more useful in competitive battling.

ive always liked blaziken better. for some reason, memories on my diamond game involving infernape were just really annoying :/ *shrug* i really enjoyed blaziken on my sapphire game.

Infernape mainly due to his higher speed but Infernape also looks a lot cooler IMO

Blaziken for coolness, and style. XP Never did like Infernape and his in-game cry drives me nuts. D=
