In the Kalos region, it was a quiet winter dusk. Twenty year old Rose Beddingfield was making her way home from the local café. She brown, calf covering boots were leaving their trails in the soft snow. Her black coat was covering her nude colored dress, but exposed her black leggings. Walking beside her was her Leafeon, Evergreen. Rose had a French Vanilla cappuccino in her thermas, and was taking sips every so often as to not feel as cold.

"I can't wait to warm up when we get home," She spoke to her Leafeon. Her Leafeon shivered as it walked, but he simply would not go into his Pokeball. He felt the need to stay by his owner's side, no matter what the weather.

@Midorikawa;

Zero ran through the snow covered mountains, rushing to put distance between him and what was after him, his zoroark ran by his side, ready to fight anything that attacked them. He thought he had lost his pursuers all the way on the other side of the region, but a pokemon attacked him a few days ago that seemed a little too strong to be wild. That of course didn't mean it belonged to his pursuers but that also didn't mean that he would wait around to find out.

His partner caught him as his black boots slipped on the snow. "That was close one. Thanks Z." The dark time nodded in reply as they started running again. Zero didn't care that the wind was cold as it blew his black chin length hair from his face, or that it was stinging his onyx eyes. He didn't care that his knee length black jacket was thin, and that the hood had fallen, nor did he care that snow had gotten into the knee high boots and soaked his black pants. He just wanted safety, solace from his past.

As he took another step, the cliff crumbled and the two lost their grips, slipping, falling. He quickly took a pokeball from his belt, returning the dark type so as to make sure she did not get injured, and then simply smiled as he hit the ground, rocks landing on his left leg and damaging it, thus making him unable to move. His lungs were burning from the running and he didn't feel the pain of his leg but rather the cold of the snow and air as he lay there. Maybe he would die like this. He had tried so hard to live a new life but now he would die at only twenty years old. Man was life ironic. "Sorry P. Guess I couldn't do it," he said, letting his eyes close as he lost consciousness.

Suddenly, Evergreen perked his ears up. Something had caught his most urgent attention. In a blaze, he took off running in the direction he heard the noise. Rose began to chase after her Leafeon.

"Where are you going, Evergreen?" She called out, but she didn't need to ask anything further. Leafeon had made his destination to a man, who was lying on the ground injured. Rose gasped "Oh my god, we need to get him out of this weather." she took off her scarf and began to wrap it around the man's mouth, as to help warm him somewhat. She then grabbed a Pokeball and released her Granbull. "Fluffy, I need you to help me get this man to our home." The oddly colored Granbull nodded as he picked up the man. Rose motioned for Evergreen and Fluffy to follow her as she lead them back to her house. She took a brief look back to see the man that was being carried by Fluffy, and she frowned. "You're going to be alright. I'll make sure you'll be safe from the storm."

Zero could feel his body floating. He must be heading to heaven? Though he didn't think he would feel something under him, or still be cold. Or still feel snowflakes hitting his face....dangit he wasn't dead. He forced his eyes open, blinking a few times to clear his vision as he looked around. He noticed that he was being carried by a oddly colored grandbull. A leafeon and woman walked beside him...Yes he was alive! And not caught by his past.

And of course his sixth sense was activating, making him...colder? Really if he wasn't cold enough from the snow, his gift had to make him colder. He had to admit it was a new one, considering he usually just had headaches with bonds that only had slight negative parts. Oh wait there was the headache, or maybe that was just the cold. He couldn't think anymore as his lids slid closed again.

Once getting to Rose's home, she opened the door, and allowed the Granbull to pass through. Evergreen followed as he watched Rose shut the door, causing it to lock from the outside. Fluffy carried the man's body to the guest room of Rose's house. He laid the man gently onto the soft, mattress. Rose gathered a red, plaid, wool blanket from the guest closet and covered the man, trying to warm him.

"Thank you, Fluffy," Rose spoke to her Granbull, "Can you keep an eye on him while I go fetch some hot cocoa?" Fluffy nodded and laid down beside the bed, making sure to check on him whenever there was a noise. Rose went downstairs, and into the kitchen to make some hot cocoa.

Shadows chased him, screams surrounded him. He ran he fought. The red, oh all the red. Zero jolted up, wide eyed and sweating. Not recognizing his surroundings he tried to jump out of the bed, the moment he did though, pain shot through his left leg. He lost balance, hitting the wall and one of his pokeballs falling from his belt, and rolling under the bed. "You have got to be kidding me," he said under his breath. He tried to get it, but moving his left leg only resulted in massive pain again, that was not leaving. He banged his head back, hitting the wall, letting out a loud "OW!" at the impact. Holding his head, he gave up moving. He was screwed...and still cold. Dang wet clothes.

Fluffy heard the noises and began barking to alert Rose of the man waking up. In that moment, Rose came running into the room and saw him.

"You're awake," she replied calmly, despite her nerves kicking in, "My Pokemon and I found you outside in the cold. I had my Granbull bring you inside. Your leg is injured, so you shouldn't try to move much. We'll need to shed your clothes so you will at least start feeling warmer under the blanket." She gently removed the cover and began stripping him of his clothes. She was quick to see that he wasn't lanky, but was rather fit. All the way down to his boxer briefs was stripped, and she put the blanket back over him. "Once you get warm, we'll focus on putting a splint on that leg. For now, have some hot cocoa." she walked back downstairs to retrieve the hot cocoa.

Zero forced himself, painfully back on the bed as the granbull started barking. The woman came in and started speaking, he listened, not caring that she was stripping him. He watched her, taking in her appearance, finding her quite beautiful as she stripped him. He was about to ask her to retrieve his pokeball that had fallen under the bed, but she had left before he could. "Oh she covered me. I hadn't realized that she did that...so whats your name?" he asked the granbull casually.

Fluffy cocked his head to the side, trying to figure out how to reply to that. He hoped the man could understand barking. So, he let out a bark. He was sure the man didn't speak Granbull, so he simply laid back down. The Granbull noticed a Pokeball that had fallen, and reached under the bed to grab it. Once he grabbed it, he raised his head up and dropped the ball from his mouth.

"Bull!" Fluffy barked, as a way to ask if it was his Pokeball. In that moment, Rose had returned with a mug of hot chocolate. It was in a white mug with brown lines near the top; a rather clean, yet simple cup to drink from.

"Here's your hot cocoa," she announced as she went to hand him the cup, "Be careful not to burn your tongue."

"Oh thank you," he told the granbull. "Thank you too," he then turned towards Rose, giving her a smile as he sat up, taking the hot chocolate."Would you mind handing me my other pokeballs. I like them being so far from me. Though I should be introducing myself before asking you for a favor. I'm Zero. May I know your name?" he blew on the hot chocolate before taking sip of it, finding it to be delicious.

"It's Rose," Rose replied with a soft, sincere smile. She lifted up his soaked pants, and saw some Pokeballs attached to his belt. She grabbed the belt and handed it to Zero. "There you go. Now, I want to wash and dry your clothes. You'll probably be stuck almost nude for the rest of the night. I'm afraid that I can't risk you catching pneumonia or worse. I'll have Fluffy get you more covers." Fluffy nodded and made his way to the closet, before grabbing an old, battered, torn quilt. It was a faded red color. You could tell it was once a rich, vibrant, ruby color. The feel to the quilt was similar to Egyptian cotton. He placed the cover over the cover that was shielding Zero's body from the air and such.

"Gran!" Fluffy barked as if he was trying to say 'there you go'. Rose thanked her Granbull by scratching him behind his ears. This caused the Granbull to begin thumping his leg against the hardwood floor.

Zero smiled at the interaction between Rose and her granbull. It was such a nice feeling and warmed him up, luckily since he was still cold. "You're wonderful," he stated. "Most people would have asked what I was doing out there, how I got injured and why I was wearing thin clothes when coming to Snowbelle. You haven't asked anything though. You're very trusting."

Rose seemed to be caught off-guard by the 'you're wonderful' comment. She hadn't heard that in a few years. She shook her head and smiled as she turned her attention back to Zero.

"Well, thank you," she replied, "That's just how I am though. I couldn't leave you outside to freeze to death. I could never forgive myself if I let someone in need to without. Also, with a broken leg, you aren't as much of a threat." at the last bit of what was spoken, she chuckled a bit. Fluffy cocked his head to the side once again before shaking it and laying back down on the floor. He couldn't understand his owner's weird sense of humor. Maybe it was best if he gave up trying.

"I wouldn't hurt you unless you gave me reason to, but a tip of advice. Just because someone is injured, doesn't mean its always safer to let your guard down. You don't know their pokemon, or what they are capable of...I wouldn't want someone as kind as you to get hurt," he said the last part more quiet and gentle than his previous words. "Um we should get my leg bandaged up. No point in warming up until its fixed and healing." Zero removed the covers but didn't make any moves to get up since it would only be troublesome and pointless.

"I know that," Rose replied, "I just like to give people the benefit of the doubt. That's just my nature I suppose. Now, I'm going to have Evergreen use Aromatherapy to hopefully make you feel less tense, and hopefully, it won't be as painful for you while I inspect the extent of your injuries. Now, Evergreen, use Aromatherapy." Her Leafeon, who was standing by the door the whole time, walked in and began to release a calming scent that danced throughout the air. Rose then motioned for Fluffy to get her first aid kit from the bathroom. The Granbull nodded and walked towards the restroom. Rose carefully began inspecting the injured leg. First thing she noticed was fragments of shattered rock embedded into his leg. She began to remove them, using the utmost gentleness. "Are you doing okay, Zero?"

Zero was just about to tell Rose not to use aromatherapy and that he would be just fine, but it was too late as the scent hit his nose and took his mind elsewhere. He didn't feel pain or cold or anything. He didn't even know where he was, or that Rose was there. When she asked him if he was okay, he still didn't snap out of it. "Yes. The flowers are beautiful Naga. Guardiano, Z, don't run off too far. That flower matches your eyes, Naga," he said, stuck in day dreams of another person.

Rose couldn't help but to chuckle to herself. She sensed that Evergreen hit the Aromatherapy a little too hard. As she was about to remove the last fragment, she realized it was embedded deep into the skin. She had no choice but to use force to pull it out. She wrapped her hand around the rock and jerked back with force, removing it. As a result of removing the deeply embedded rock, the leg began to bleed. Fluffy had returned with the first aid kit and had opened it. Rose began to pour disinfection medicine onto his open cuts as to prevent infection and to temporarily clean the wounds until he could have a bath. Once she poured the solution onto his leg, she began putting gauze on the wounds before wrapping them up, adding another layer of protection. Once she was finished, she put the covers back over Zero's body.

"You're all wrapped up now," she announced, "Now, I'll have to keep changing the dressing and clean the wounds at least twice daily, so while they heal, don't do anything to reopen them or cause more injury."

Of course Rose's actions and words had no affect on the high man. He continued to say odd things for quite a while, not understanding a word of Rose's, until eventually he fell asleep, unconsciously gripping a certain pokeball in his hand. When he awoke in the morning, the only thing that reminded him of the previous night was that he was almost entirely naked in a bed he did not recognize.

The next morning, Rose was downstairs making coffee. She took a mug up to the guest room and knocked lightly. She hoped it didn't disturb the man's sleep. She slowly opened the door, and saw that he was already awake. She wasn't sure if she had woke him up or if he was awake before knocking on the door. She tried her best to let her concerns not appear on her face. She smiled and walked in slowly.

"I see you're awake," she spoke, "Did you sleep well? I also brought you some coffee."

"Sorry but I don't like coffee, but thank you anyways," he told her, smiling apologetically. "And I slept fine no thanks to that aromatherapy," this part was said with obvious distaste. "If you don't mind, I don't like things like that and I can deal with pain better than you think, so please do not do that again."
