Bloody Hell! Desperately Seeking Lugia! Crystal Help Please.

Ok, I have Silver Wing, yet no matter how hard I look I can't find Lugia in Whirl Islands!



Playing Pokémon now so will answer any questions.

Upper right island, go to the lower ladder. You should end up in a room where if you surf, you will find a huge waterfall. Go down the waterfall and head left. You should find a cave in which Lugia awaits.

Oh poopie. I always make that mistake. It's the upper ladder, not the lower one.

Yeah. I'm certain, I just went through the place myself.

Found the bugger, any tips on catching it?

Just been trying with Ultra Balls for ages, don't have a Master Ball anymore so what to do?

Got a Butterfree (45) and Weepinbell (46) with Sleep Powder with me to catch the bugger.

Other pokémon in my team are; Gyarados (53) - Hyper Beam and Thrash, Suicune (55) - Icy Wind, Typhlosion (53) - Strength, Rollout and Fire Blast and Pigeot (53) - Fly, Quick Attack and Steel Wing.

Got a Snorlax (53) in the box so I could bring that out - not sure which pokémon to sub out...

The two pokémon I have with Sleep Powder can't damage Lugia once they have it asleep.

Should I aim to paralyse the pokémon as oppose to putting it to sleep? Does this affect success of pokéballs used?

Only problem is whenever I get close to catching him he uses Recover.

Recover only works so many times. Ten times, to be exact. Get a False Swiper too.
