Let's have a go at this brand new sub-forum....

My team is completely spread out. We got some OU's, some BL, and my lovely UU Blastoise.

Spr_4d_475.png

Spartan
Naughty-Expert Belt
Psycho Cut
Night Slash
Close Combat
Leaf Blade

I'd rather not choice-band Spartan simply because he is my starter. He has such a high ATK, that he's very reliable at the start. EV's are spent in ATK as well as Speed.

Spr_4d_478.png

Yukimenoko/Froslass
Timid-Expert Belt
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Shadow Ball
Psychic
(Finalized Stats)
279/149/153/231/175/349

I got this via trade by letting loose the Glaceon I previously had. I'm alot more comfortable with the Froslass simply because of the dual-type. It's speed is absolutely unmatchable aswell.

Spr_4d_009.png

Shellblast
Sassy-Leftovers
Mirror Coat
Ice Beam
Surf
Earthquake

or....

Blastoise
Sassy-Choice Band
Earthquake
Waterfall
Earthquake
Surf

I could put both on my team, but I obviously need to choose. Shellblast is that usual Wall that I need, and not many expect MC on them. Blastoise is the Shiny one I have. His nature isn't ideal but he does have a higher ATK than Special D.

Spr_4d_466.png

Elekitank
Adamant-Life Orb
ThunderPunch
CrossChop
Ice Punch
Earthquake

Smogoned sadly. It's a reality, as his EVs are set in ATK and Speed, and is very much set for battling.

Spr_4d_467.png

Magmados
Modest-Expert Belt
Flamethrower/Fire Blast
Thunderbolt
Focus Punch
Psychic

Deviation of Smogon. I hate Hidden Power, and I am not even going to give it a chance.. so I included Psychic to deal with possile Infernapes and Blaziken. Far from being ideal, seeing as I have yet to Magmarize it yet.

Spr_4d_149.png

Dragonfrce
Rash-Choice specs
Outrage
Flamethrower
Ice Beam
Surf
(Finalized Stats)
314/352/231/268/200/211

Dragonfrce's ideal situation is to come into battle to sweep his resistances, Water, Fire, Grass and Bug. Icebeam is also there to counter any Dragons.. and who doesn't want Outrage? :p His nature sucks, seeing as an Ice-Beam could do way too much damage to it. EV spread sucks too.. all I know is Dragonfrce does need some work, but he's still very powerful and useful.

So there it is.. Please be gentle! Sadly, i still need alot of Lvling to do.. only Dragonfrce and Yukimenoko are fully at Lvl.100. Spartan and the Blastoise twins are close, but my newest additions, Magmados and Elekitank still need alot of leveling.

Cheers,
Blurrz

Yeah, CBing him just makes him a weaker Medicham anyway (well usually). If I were you, I'd take advantage of its support moves like Hypnosis (learned from Kirlia at level 50) to impare one of their Pokemon then set itself up with Swords Dance. On the otherhand, you can go with Thunderwave, which would help your Specsnite.

I'd give Frosslass Spikes instead of Psychic. It would help support your team which is pretty much too offensively based already, and it has the added bonus of having super effective STAB on most rapid spinners.

As I had already mentioned your team is too offensive based, and a more defensive spread may help. Since you have nothing to switch into status, a restalk Blastoise:

Blastoise @Leftovers
Bold Nature
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Surf
-Ice Beam/Rapid Spin

Even if you use Rapid Spin, it is not really done for damage, so keeping a Bold nature is fine.

PBR standard aswell.

Infernape aren't really going to be switching into this guy anyway, same goes for Blaziken. YOu can go with Leftovers over Expert Belt since this thing doesn't really boast the coverage other expert belters use. Substitute could help it from Heatran switch ins if you are not yet good at prediction. Just use Substitute on someone you know is going tos witch out.

Outrage is more than enough to be countering any Dragons who are stupid enough to for some reason, switch into another Dragon pokemon. I don't like this set for Dragonite, simply because it is outdone by others. Going with Dragon pulse should be better for it, and Focus Punch over Surf because that really isn't doing much at all. Focus Punch will help get Blissey (assuming properly EV'd) on the switch.

Like I said, your team lacks any defenses to stop hard hitters. YOu should also just get your envisioned team to get rated before you actually go out for the training to save some time.

Aye, thanks Outrage. I've had some success with this team already. With the speed, and the 'all-out' kind of attitude, I've been able to conjure up alot more wins than loses. But of course, I can't let the record stop the team from being even better.

Question, is Leaf Blade on Gallade a good idea at all? Or should I try to get a different move in there? Swords Dance like you suggested would be a good idea.. but would it be a waste if I'm just going to 2hitKO my opponent anyway?

i would keep leaf blade. it's a strong attack and most people aren't expecting a Fight/Psychic type to know a grass move. So keep for when they switch in pokemon that are weak to grass. a great surprise if you keep it hidden.

Too lazy to do a full rate lol D:

I know Shaymin-S is Uber, but I doubt that will last too long, so maybe consider making Dragonite more specially bulky? You can keep it specially based like it is right now and use Ice Beam, or you can make it physical and use Stone Edge. Dragonite could really make an excellent counter for Skymin. The main reason? Inner Focus. Dragonite doesn't fall prey to flinchhax. It also has a 4x resistance to Seed Flare, and (using the bulky set) if Vaporeon's Ice Beam (130 base SpA Vaporeon, 95 base move) isn't going to OHKO Dragonite, then a Skymin HP Ice (120 base SpA Skymin, 70 base move AT BEST) isn't even coming close.

Honestly I don't see why it's Uber in the first place; the only thing it has going for it that differentiates it from other special sweepers is luckhax.

You guys do realise its been half a year since this thread, and the last comment was originally posted right?
Honestly I don't see why it's Uber in the first place; the only thing it has going for it that differentiates it from other special sweepers is luckhax.

Apart from being able to Flinch/hax without the help of paralysis, its Seed Flare has an 80% chance of decreasing special defense two stages.

Coming in on a Choice Specs AirSlash and not being able to attack is bad enough, but being a special wall, coming into Specs Seed flare and dropping special defense two stages, and due to Skymin's speed, being hit a second time?

Metalkid not being updated with Shaymin-S makes the calculation a bit more difficult, but using Togekiss with Choice Specs and max SAtk (which is the equivalent to Skymin CS max SAtk) and using an override move at 180 power (the equivalent of STAB seed flare) on a Blissey with neutral SDef but max HP/SDef (which is sometihng you never see because it is overkill):

After the losing two levels in SDef:

Defender HP: 714

Damage: 357 - 420
Damage: 50.00% - 58.82%

And that is with an unusually high spread on special defense, on a blissey. This is the second hit, it will have less than 50% of its health by now.

So apart from Heatran, there really isn't many that will stand up to said abuse, making it overcentralise the game.
