~*~*~THE MAGICAL BULBAGARDEN FOODIE THREAD~*~*~

15-Health-Foodies-You-Need-To-Be-Following-On-Instagram.jpg

Okay so, we all eat food. Hopefully. Food is good, and good food is great. I figured we should have a place where we can show our love for good food together!

Post pictures of the food you eat here, and if you have any cool recipes you can share them here too :3 Mostly because I want to make some new food ideas that I can shamelessly take inspiration from you lovely people here!

Red Beans and Rice. A sort of local speciality in the New Orleans area. It's made using red beans, rice, and several seasonings. From there, you throw in meat (usually sausage or pickled meat) and veggies. Usually my family will let the beans soak in water over night so they are particularly soft. I like mine with a bit of sriracha or Tabasco for an extra kick.

I had a rather lovely steak sandwich and chips for lunch today at a local truck stop. It was honestly like my mouth was singing while I ate it. There was lettuce, some onion, tomato, beetroot, a relish and some grated carrot along with the steak. It was just niiiiiice n___n

At work we sell a lot of roast beef alongside seafood dishes.

So for my break today I had a well done roast beef with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. It's a hefty sandwich.

I had some homemade ice cream sandwiches yesterday. This isn't a picture of them but it's pretty much what they looked like. There were vanilla, strawberry cheesecake, and cookies & cream ice cream sandwiches. My sister was originally going to serve them at a wedding reception we attended yesterday but felt they weren't up to par. That was unfortunate, for the guests that is. I think they came out perfectly fine, so it meant more for us in the end.

At The Cowfish, there’s a candy sushi that’s a swedish fish on a rice krispie with a fruit by the foot around it.
Here’s a pic from the internet that I croppped

Me and a friend made waffles today. Most waffle irons are heart shaped. I usually put rasberry jam and sour cream on, but cheese is good too :D Some people seem to find it weird that we put sour cream on waffles in Norway.

I don't have the best picture, because my phone is bad at pictures and I'm bad at cooking, but it's something.

So this is what I had for lunch yesterday in San Francisco from a food truck during my fellowship. Basically it's nacho cheese fries with pico de gallo, avacado and pork shoulder with dulce de leche almond cookies. Personally, I enjoyed it though I still prefer Carne Asada fries but I did like the seasoning on the pork.

Bit overpriced in my opinion given the portions but I wouldn't mind having it again!

That basically looks like one of the most delicious things I've seen all week and I don't just want it I need it in my life.

Aside from the almond cookies because I can't do food with nuts in it :v

That looks great Lord Fawful! I'm pretty sure that will be great, especially on a cold, long day.

So on Friday, I decided to try out the Cheesesteak food truck on Friday at the nearby food truck plaza (SOMA Food Truck Park) at my fellowship. And my god, not only it's reasonably priced for San Francisco given the portions but it was also SO GOOD.

I don't know if it would be an authentic Philly Cheesesteak, but I didn't care. The meat was craved thinly enough but still chunky-ish. And the garlic fries were nice and garlicly. Great Friday lunch outdoors in San Francisco.
