Hello everyone! How are you doing?

It is very nice to meet you all! Such an interesting community! After a while ackowledging Bulbagarden, I've decided to finally make myself a little place here!

May I share with you a story? It won't take much of your time, promise... See, I've been a fan of Pokémon since I was little, playing Pokémon Stadium with my big brother's Nintendo 64 and borrowing my cousin's Game Boy Color with Pokémon Crystal. It was an instant passion. From 2000 and on, I've been following most sources of media the franchise had to offer, but nothing captured me more than the games and the trading card game... Until I grew up to be an adult and... The passion fizzled out.

Only recently I've rediscovered Pokémon with somewhat the same enthusiastic energy from when I was little. Naturally, my likes have changed as I grew older... The videogames lost the appeal to give it's spot for the TCG world... Mostly the art of the cards, mind you!
I felt in awe for the things I saw... How they captured natural landscapes and blending with fictional creatures with mostly simple designs overall... So... Why not trying something like those myself? Create my own illustrated cards from all the Pokémon I've trained over the years?

So... There you go! Presenting you, Boombuster07's Pokémon Home! A collection of art decipting every single Pokémon I've raised, battled, won and lost, and ultimately, made my first years of living a blast! A final celebration of my story with Pokémon, from the very early generations of tiny pixels barely representing something to all the megas, gigantamaxes, z-moves and all the gimmicks of today! Hope this passion project brings just a little bit of happiness to you like it brings to me...

I deeply appreciate your time... Take care, ok?

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!

Presenting you, from Generation V, Reuniclus! The Multiplying Pokémon!

Good day everyone! How have you been? Did you sleep well? I sure did!

Today I bring a pokémon to Boombuster07's Pokémon Home from the 4th Generation. Personally, the OST from all games from this one in particular is fantastic, definitely my favourite in terms of music!

Pokémon Diamond was the first game I've actually completed, achieving championship! The difficulty wasn't entirely on mastering the game mechanics, but more on dealing with a complete different language... Safe to say, Pokémon and videogames in general taught me 50% of English itself. So horray to videogames!

I remember my biggest hurdle was from where to go through Mt. Coronet to get to the Spear Pillar. I had absolutely no idea how to get there!

Stay safe, everyone. Once more, thank you for your time! Feel free to leave a message as well if you'd like, I won't mind!

Without further ado, I present you, Drapion! The Ogre Scorpion Pokémon!

Good day everyone! How have you been? Excited for the festivities that is yet to come?

I've dreamt last night... It was a pleasant dream, one that I haven't had in years! Vacation after a season of hard work does that to you. This month has been nothing but a huge blessing after dealing with a tumultuous 2025... Surely for many of you as well, but we survived! Glad that it is over. Hopefully next year will be much better, I can feel it!

Listen, never forget to take some time of the day to do whatever feels nice to you. Life isn't just studies or work... It is your life after all! There is no right or wrong way of living... Only what feels right to you. It is sure confusing along the way, but we can manage it... We always did after all.

Today I bring another Pokémon from Generation IV! This one surely made an impact of misunderstandings... First for the usage of a "Legendary Pokémon Encounter!" Theme in their first interaction, way back in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum... Second for it's unique gimmick of possessing many electrical appliances, changing their typing and moves as a result... I never understood what dual type combination they retained after each transformation. Third, they are Pokedexes now... So technically that counts as a 7th Pokémon at your disposal? There are phone versions of them, drone versions of them... Are they not rare anymore?

Anyway, I wish you happy holidays, and a huge thank you for the warm reception!

Presenting you, Rotom! The Plasma Pokémon! Bzzzt, Bzzzt!

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! Merry Christmas Eve!

Today for Boombuster07's Pokémon Home, I bring a Pokémon that holds a very special place in my heart when it comes to the franchise... The final evolution of the very first Pokémon I took as my starter! How long was it... 19 years? Oh my...

I didn't manage to accomplish Pokémon Crystal when I was little... There were two massive hurdles that I recall: awakening Sudowoodo to progress through routes after beating Whitney and being unable to save the game because the internal battery got busted. There were a few times I went to spent my savings from my piggy bank to buy some long lasting batteries, doing my absolutely best to rush through the whole game before my Game Boy ran out, until... Poof! There goes my progress...

Thanks Nintendo, for Virtual Console... At least, this time, I made it... And with a special Celebi along the way! Another game to check in my bucket list, hahaha!

This drawing here was one of the first pieces I've illustrated, getting used to what Colors! 3d had to offer. Safe to say, it is a good attempt, I like it! Next time, I'll give another go on it's flames.

Presenting you, Typhlosion! The Volcano Pokémon!

HNI_0055.JPG

Merry Christmas everyone! Happy Holidays as well! Wish you a wonderful, fullfilling day with prosperity, peace and heartwarming cookies!

Since I am unable to physically appear and share with you a gift, perhaps today's illustration might suffice. I hope you like it!

Today I bring to Boombuster07's Pokémon Home a Pokémon from Generation III, a favourite of many trainers around the world. A Pokémon whose unparalleled bonds defies all adversities, shining even beyond the limits with Mega Evolution... A Pokémon whose power distorts the concept of space to create a small black hole in times of despair... A Pokémon inspired from the elegance, mysteriousness, love and benevolence of guardian angels! Symbol of hope, a remembrance, like first intended mind you, of the best of humanity!

I present thee, Gardevoir! The Embrace Pokémon!

lovely pictures! you can see the improvement from the very first Typhlosion (it already looked good though)

my favorite is the last picture, not only because it's Gardevoir, but because it tells a whole story with the memories around her... but the Drapion's my second favorite because of the action scene! good use of shading everywhere too

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! How have you been?

Today for Boombuster07's Pokémon Home, I bring you a Legendary Pokémon!

One of the things that mostly brought me fascination was the development of Pokémon mythology in the lore... More so on the 2nd and 4th Generations, each them with a different approach. While Sinhoh delivers the mythos as something grandious, defying the mere concept of existence itself with mighty gods of space, time and dimensions, antimatter and the whole universe in a huge punch... Johto kept it more subtle, almost subjective... Leaning the player to unveil the mysteries and pursuing the history on their own.

I loved exploring the Ruins of Alph, solving the puzzles, trying to decipher the Unown language (even though it is obvious as you grow up as an adult, hahaha!), connecting the dots concerning the two towers in Ecutreak City and the two Legendary Pokémon, Ho-Oh and Lugia... The remakes HeartGold and SoulSilver did a fantastic job implementing all the cultural aspect and folklore to the population of Johto, immersing yourself even more into that little world!

To be frank, every generation has an interesting take when it comes to legendaries. Generation I with Mewtwo as this unbeatable heartless beast that comes as an ultimate challenge for the player... Generation III with a climatic battle between the gods of land and sea, almost destroying the world in the process... Generation V with the duality of truths and ideals culminating in a clash of what defines humanity itself!

I do not know much about the 7th generation and over... I haven't played them. At least I know the superficial stuff, just out of curiosity... I heard there is one with a bike dinosaur that likes to eat sandwiches!

I appreciate the feedback and your attention! Doing this project has been quite relaxing actually! Not sure I'll sustain the same frequency as time goes on due to work, but I am far from giving up!

Finally, to celebrate all things legendary, and also as a tribute to those absolutely unplayable AMAZING rare, rainbow-coloured Pokémon TCG cards, I give to you all... Latios! The Eon Pokémon! Riding on his back in Omega Ruby surely is fun!

Bon après-midi, mesdames et messieurs! It is Saturday! The last Saturday of the year!

It is time to finish the 1st Wave of Pokémon to reside in Boombuster07's Pokémon Home! Every single one of those creatures have faced many challenges, relentless training, joyfull and sad moments... And many memories have been made across my early years as a Pokémon Trainer! So I'll make sure all of them receive the praise they deserve, from the big bad boys to the teeny tiny little fellas! Who knows? Maybe they might even turn into Pokémon TCG cards in the end! Ha! That would be a silly dream coming true...

Let's get to the point! To commemorate the successful conclusion of the 1st Wave, why not bring an illustration with a celebratory occasion? Come here, Golurk! The Automaton Pokémon! Cheers for your outstanding performance and achieving championship! Attaboy!

HNI_0087.JPG

Thank you dearly for all the views, reactions and feedback, everyone... I'll be back with the 2nd Wave in a moment, hopefully soon! My Pokémon and I absolutely love visitors, even more your posts! So please, come check by anytime! I'll do my best to keep active here while the remaining Pokémon come home safely... There is a lot of them. Perhaps I am more of a Pokémon Breeder than effectively a Trainer.

I love the art and the little presentation you put up on each post! Also, the art of the TCG cards is really great, right?
"There are phone versions of them, drone versions of them... Are they not rare anymore?" Rotom went overboard! Hahaha.
Enfin, ton messages et ton œuvres d'art sont très interessantes! (j'apprends le française, c'est une langue génial !)
Well, you are French, right? Anyways, hope you'll bring us more of your cool art! See you around!

Happy New Year, Pokémon Trainers of all ages!

2026 is here to stay, so let us do our absolute best to make this one count more than any other year that has ever existed! Let's go!

1st of January is about new begginings, renovations... A second chance. So let us talk about Pokémon Eggs. Those that experienced the 2nd Generation always remember their first Pokémon Egg: That first "Oh?" popping from nowhere as you went from place to place... The expectancy as that little egg bounces and cracks until a little adorable hatchling emerges from a partially broken shell... And the moment you see that little creature evoling into a healthy, weirdly-shaped, yet adorable fairy bird with a timid smile across it's face!

The feeling is similar when you get your very first Stater Pokémon... But instead of getting an already known Pokémon from a Professor with a plant-based name, you receive a mysterious egg, the absolute beggining of life... And through nurture, patience and lots of love, you experience literal motherhood or fatherhood by raising a baby until it becomes an adult! Awww! Look at my baby boy twirling it's arm with Metronome... Oh, it cast Sacred Fire! Aww... Look at him playing god with his friends!

The 2nd Wave of Pokémon is yet to come... Just a few more days! However, a particular white fairy has traveled all by itself to wish you all 365 days of prosperity, happiness and fulfilling peace. Poor thing couldn't handle waiting no more, hahaha!

See? Togetic, the Happiness Pokémon even brought you a lovely letter! I wonder what is written inside...? What do you think?

HNI_0068.JPG

The stage is set and the curtains are up... The Second Wave is about to begin!

Bem-vindos, bem aventurados! Boombuster07's Pokémon Home is now open for bussiness for another go! Gather around, have some delicious hot chocolate with with some Moo Moo Milk or some latte, if you feel more fancy, and enjoy your stay! Wonderful!

For this wave, I thought of trying more of the 3D aspect of what 3D! Colours have to offer... So I've invested a lot experimenting with multiple layers, creating immersive backgrounds, blending colours or just giving a shot with simple ideas! Messing around, you know? Unfortunately I am unable to translate that depth effect effect from the portable console through here (if someone knows a way, please tell me!), but the good intention still lingers!

Whew... Alright, time for the usual presentation. Ahem...

Let us begin our tour, from the depths of the most verdant forests... Richest aromas and most stunning colours....

Among all types that exist in the Pokémon world, only one blends fauna and flora with such elegance and beauty that captivated people since 1996. The Grass-type. Defying imagination, their presence have intrigued many trainers across generations to come. Their mere concept raises a lot of questions... How do they sustain themselves? Through food? Mulch? Photosyntesis? What are their diet based of? How much "animal" they are in their constitution from the likes of Serperior and Venusaur? What are their organs made of? What about their cellular structure? Hum... Perhaps I am thinking too much.

Gamewise, be it on the mainline series, spin-offs or the TCG, the Grass-type, was never reckon to be this mighty force of oppression like Fire or Fighting-types. Sure, there are a few examples that beg to differ, but most of the time, It was always about diversity, adaptability, inducing status-conditions, healing your teammates or bringing an advantage to your deck... Being more like reliable supporters... Deadly, reliabe supporters. Mother Nature has odd ways to keep life under balance... From subtle to utter destructive. "Seared, by Solar Beam!" As the announcer from Pokémon Battle Revolution likes to say.

From the depths of Pinwheel Forest, one of many awesome bugs that inhabit Unova, Leavanny, the Nurturing Pokémon dances along a melodic Meloetta, singing her signature Relic Song!

Seeing the flowing hair and the leaves popping out of the screen was sure rewarding!

Thank you for your support, everyone... See you next time! Take care!

Hey there! Long time no see! Guess it is time for another entry in Boombuster07's Pokémon Home! There is always more space for one more!

One thing that I learned is that every Pokémon is a favourite of someone. Yes, even something as stupid such as Flamigo. Every person regard a fond of a particular Pokémon who is ignored by the rest of the world due to an indescribable, unexplainable love. It may be frail, it may be unpleasant, boring... It may straight up be called "Flamigo" (I can't digest that). Still... They all have a chance to capture people's hearts and draw a genuine smile to their faces. (But seriously, "Flamigo"?)

I have a soft spot for one of those... More precisely a ladybug-esque, Kamen Raider wannabe, four-armed punch-thrower monster. Behind those noodle arms and tiny body lies the heart of a warrior that does not hesitate to face danger head-on, despite being taken down by something as simple as a Rock Throw from a Geodude.

Everyone loves a heroic story of underdogs that went through hell to build their legacy from the absolute bottom... Slowly graving their name to a path of their rightfully deserved legacy, facing challenges beyond mortal understanding... Because they aren't mere mortals... They are legends. Perhaps not universally praised by the masses, but surely appreciated by those that deserve them... Ledian, the Five Star Pokémon, for me, is one of them.

This one was my first drawing, waaaay back the end of 2024! Time flies...

Buon pomeriggio, treinadores de todo o mundo! Here we are for another episode of Boombuster07's Pokémon Home!
One of the things I am most fond of Pokémon is how the minds behind these fantastical creatures try to implement their existence to the real world, specially regarding the interaction between human and Pokémon. I give emphasis on the TCG, they did a marvelous job in that regard!
There are not many rules when it comes to drawing a Pokémon for the card game... The general rule is to follow the theme and characterization of said Pokémon. While earlier rare cards depicted solely the Pokémon with a shining holographic background to emphasize de "awesomeness" (it still is in some cases, but the point still stands), the purpose behind most art is to bring the creature to life. Movement, light, context, background... Each element carries a message that, when combined, deliver to the viewer the artist's vision of the Pokémon.

Next time you grasp your hands on a TCG card, breathe and take a good look on the professional artistry of the card, even if is silly. There is a lot of story behind that illustration... Maybe even some context behind the illustrator's life story!

Without further ado, allow me to set the lights, raise the curtains and present thee, Roserade, the Bouquet Pokémon! Better not mess with this one!

Hey, if your creative juices are not flowing, put up some music! It surely helps deliver a feeling! For this one, I put some Jazz! Fancy!

Konnichiwa everyone! Welcome back to my humble abode where Pokémon legacy is preserved to the test of time!

Today I bring you all to Boombuster07's Pokémon Home a gem from the very first generation, this time to give some spotlight to Poison-type Pokémon. They are known for being used in villanous teams, generally hated by trainers from earlier times where the poison status condition slowly drained your Pokémon HP as you walked to the point of fainting and inconsistency of sticking to an attribute in Pokémon TCG due to game balancing. They have been listed to the Grass, Psychic and now Darkness attribute... Talk about an unstable personality! But it this little nuances that makes history a tad more interesting to explore!

Did you know that most Pokémon from the most recent games are capable of learning the move Toxic? So that implies that most of those monsters are capable of concoting a poisonous substance from their organs to spit on their foes... How tenebrous! To compensate for that, true Poison-Type Pokémon were blessed to have this move to never miss when used (from the later generations, at least).

Their general feeling, at least form my perspective, in the mainline games are of opposing team disruptors. Poisoning, setting traps... And since Poison-type are common to to be shared with other types for a duo, it serves as a powerful resistant role to many common types such as Fighting.

From the most putrid and foul gases humankind can smell, Weezing, the Poison Gas Pokémon emerges from it's poisonous haze... Beware of lighters or you are a goner!

Simple... Yet I absolutely loved of the gases mixed with the 3D effect to give that feeling of depth from Colors! 3D. I'll find a way to show all 3d illustrations by the end of everything. : )

Take care, y'all! Don't let the bugs bite!

Happy Friday, fascinating creatures of meat and bone! Welcome back to another episode of Boombuster07's Pokémon Home!

Have you participated in any official VGC Tournament? I have once... And man, I got wrecked! It was from then on that I learned about the deep importance of IV's, EV's, natures, team optimazation and all those small details. Players had it rough in earlier generations as all those details were quite obscure and difficult to manage in order to make a perfect team of 6 all-stars... Gotta respect those guys that dedicate precious hours of their time with all the breeding, nature selecting, move learning, ability setting, EV-training program...

Thankfully as time went on, training your perfect team became easier with faster and more optimal methods to achieve the goal, and most important, FUN! I liked playing that Soccer minigame from ORAS to slowly improve the stats of my Pokémon so I can face head-on the Battle Resort. There were other optimizations too as the community slowly got the grasp of the secrets behind certain items like Destiny Knot, Everstone and even items that can allow Pokémon to learn moves by them, like Volt Tackle with Pichu!

And with the announcement of Pokémon Champions, it seems that competitive Pokémon battling with be more accessible to everyone than ever! Too bad Triole, Rotation and Inverse battles became a gimmick, though... Heartbreaker Charles would be severely dissapointed.

All in all, it is important to remember that Pokémon games are supposed to be fun, not work. There are other ways to experience them to suit your mood like nuzlocks or speedruns... Oh, remember TwitchPlaysPokémon?

Without further ado, today I bring another Pokémon from the 4th Generation of games, famous for it's awe-inspiring performance in VGC Tournaments, more specifically VGC 2014... Go electric rodent, go! Pachirisu, the EleSquirrel Pokémon!

News flash! Another entry of Boombuster07's Pokémon Home is about to unfold! Come get your newspapers everyone, while they are still fresh from the oven!

Today I would like to talk about Pokémon aesthetic designing. As the series progresses, there have been examples of Pokémon designs that went with a little more... Creative freedom. It is only natural, the franchise is about to turn 30 years old and there is nothing wrong to make some changes towards something new, something better! With every new generation comes a new set of 100 or so Pokémon, thus a new generation of players is born... And the cycle repeats ad infinitum.

Not necessarily a problem, mind you, but progression over an idea not often leads to consistency, more so on Pokémon designs. Of course taste is subjective to the person, there is not a better or worse universal design, but I really believe the problem lies more on the clash of those designs when something from the late 90's meet a creature from the most current era. Each generation is truly product of it's time.... Earlier Pokémon being more animal-like, bulkier, simpler shapes to translate better on the Game Boy... Later being rounder, elaborate, colourful, with more focus on exuding a personality more than a creature trait... "humanized" monsters. We just have to compare Sylveon to any of the eevolutions for example.... Doesn't it feels more... Cartoonish? The shape of the head... Those big blue eyes... The shape of the ears... I wouldn't be surprised if it were a standalone Pokémon rather than an Eevolution.

The best examples are the Starter Pokémon and their evolution lines, more so from the 8th and 9th generation. The general progression of evolution is now aligned to a person's maturity as it gets older. We get the small child full of energy as the basic Pokémon, the angsty, awkward try-hard first evolutions of said Pokémon, and the final, fully developed, confident "best-buddy" second evolution. It is "humanization" of Pokémon... Perhaps as an attempt to make people identify themselves more with their starter. That idea was present in the past, but... It was not up to eleven. I guess the most notable example is the Totodile line... Croconaw as the "raging adolescent phase" is notable by it's animation sprite in Crystal, swinging it's little arm and stomping the ground wildly, but it's personality was not the entire creature's appeal... It is still a monster, not a person dressed in a fur suit.

Being honest now, how many of you, when you first laid your eyes on Quaquaval, went "WOW, that's so cool!"... I would be ridiculously uncomfortable with a carnival dancing bird swinging it's hips and shaking it's bust whenever I go.

Yet again, all Pokémon is a favourite of someone, that is what matters... And even with all the disparities across each generation, everything is still Pokémon. Being a Pokémon fan does not mean liking everything the franchise has to offer (looking at you Flamigo) but accepting their existence, thinking other people might like them, and that is all that matters.

Inspired by the colours of Pop Art, I give you Ambipom, the Long Tail Pokémon!

HNI_0081.JPG

Happy Sunday, trainers off all ages! Hope you are doing more fantastic than ever! The first week of January just ended, can you believe that?

Today we are talking about Shiny Pokémon. Those mysterious, altered coloured Pokémon that bling like stars whenever they go, bringing fascination to the eye. Popular for being extremely hard to find, Shiny pokémon add a little bit of flair every wild encounter you came across, even if the chances are minimal. Their popularity among fans were so big that the developers have designded from time to time new ways to facilitate the encounter, rising the odds, even if it just minimal! Some players became so obssessed with those creatures that even entitled themselves Shiny Hunters! As for myself, in my entire life, I can count on my fingers how many Shiny Pokémon I have found across my playthroughs... Six, perhaps seven?

Maybe not only the Shiny Pokémon themselves but the community did a wondrous job hyping this entire field. They have created the fanmade term Masuda Method, conspiracy theories have been elaborated, nuzlock challenges have been made using only Shiny Pokémon... People went far to even restart, over and over again their games simply to get a measely chance of their box legendary Pokémon to be altered coloured!

Say, what was your first Shiny Pokémon, my dear guest? How was the feeling? Did you catch it? Brought to your Six team All-Star?

And as it is common practice for the spectacle, I reveal to you all the Pokémon of the day, the truly, the magnificent, the shiniest star among them all with it's stunning colours... Bellossom, the Flower Pokémon! Slowly dancing among the starry night, Van Gogh style!

HNI_0060.JPG

Thank you so much everyone for tagging along on this journey... This is the end of the Second Wave! Of course, there is more to come! Did you really think it would end there?

Now really, all the feedback, support and even by just checking out is deeply appreciated. I hope to come back by continuing the project without the need to rush, so it remais a fun, peaceful and rewarding learning experience... After all, We all desire to improve ourselves more and more, don't we? Maybe I might even bring something professionaly made someday, who knows? A young man can only dream...

See you all next time... And a big hug to the Bulbagarden Community, you guys are awesome. Take care, ok?

it seems your green or grass-type pictures are my favorites, love Leavanny, Roserade and Bellossom! especially Leavanny, I think it's my all-time favorite so far! but I also love the dancer and her dress next to Roserade

and Pachirisu looks so happy nomming all those apricorns gosh he's so precious

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to another edition of Boombuster07's Pokémon Home!

My absence has been... Overly exaggerated, but that does not mean it is a neglected project, nuh-uh! Far from that! This year ought to be a very demanding one in terms of work and general other projects... So the "Wave" format got a little unsustainable to maintain long term. It is better this way, though! I ought to deliver in long term truly, heartfelt, carefully crafted illustrations... Maybe even with humanly tiny mistakes that attest the authenticity of our own capacity of creating stuff in an era surrounded by souless AI "slop" as it is commmonly said now. I wanted self-driving cars, not an non-linear art generator! Where is my promised future!?

Future... The imagination runs wild when it comes of what is yet to happen. As each generation passes, we see ourselves surprised as how much technology in general has evolved towards the unimaginable. To give a context of what I am trying to say, The Apollo 11 mission (the one where men firstly set their feet on the moon) used a guidance computer with a total memory capacity of roughly 72 Kilobytes (KB) of ROM and 4 KB of RAM. To put this in perspective, that is less than 1 megabyte (MB) of data—less than the size of this illustration right here! This is absolutely insane!

To celebrate history in the context of Pokémon, I present you my absolutely favourite electric rodent! The one who got me instantaneously hooked the moment I saw that smirk of defiance in Pokémon Stadium! Electrifying to unconsciousness "Indian Elephants" since 1996, Raichu, the Mouse Pokémon, I choose you!

Say, what is YOUR favourite Pokémon?
