This is a very important question that needed a thread. I find myself craving things like hash browns during the evening, or even chicken wings quite early in the day. I try not to consider the time and just eat what I'm hungry for.

It’s 50/50 for me, but I will admit that I’ve gotten a few breakfast chorizos during the afternoon in the past month or so. That brings me to my question; which side are you on?

Dinner for breakfast, I think… I don’t really eat a whole lot of hearty breakfast foods, breakfast to me means cereal, fruit, maybe eggs, yogurt, etc…so it doesn’t sound like the best dinner but it’s still ok

Breakfast for dinner because that's a thing people actually do tbh.

I legit don't know anyone who goes 'Yeah I want dinner for breakfast' because like...I mean you probably can but dinner foods are way too heavy and too much work to cook to have as your breakfast.

Edit: I mean I guess maybe you could do leftovers but like IDK that doesn't feel like dinner for breakfast, that's leftovers. Yes it is technically dinner food but you didn't cook it specifically for your breakfast.

Breakfast for dinner. I don't mind having cereal, toast, eggs, pancakes/waffles, etc. for dinner, especially if I missed breakfast that day, or I just don't feel like cooking or ordering something heavy and would rather have an easy to make meal. I've never had dinner for breakfast though, I don't think; if I have leftovers, I usually eat them for lunch or save them to have as dinner again.

I've grown to appreciate breakfast foods, but given the choice I'd usually go for dinner food at breakfast time instead. Cold pizza from the fridge fills me up better than stuff like cereal.

I always love breakfast for dinner in theory, but then by bedtime I'm feeling hungry again and wishing I'd had a more proper dinner, so I'd rather just have breakfast foods for breakfast. Dinner food for breakfast also just doesn't appeal to me.

Breakfast for dinner, and it's only proper breakfast, a full English breakfast is good for example. but I accept as low as some eggs + toasts and jam or marmalade or whatever + some sausages. Anything below that is not a dinner, just a very late snack. "oh I didn't eat dinner yesterday, I only had some snacks."
I will take a plain croissant as breakfast, no problem, but a croissant in the evening is a very late snack, not dinner. Unless there's some ham and cheese in it, then it's a sandwich, which is fine. I accept cereals w milk/yoghurt as breakfast or even brunch, but not dinner. I don't want to eat icy cold cereal in the evening.
Pancakes and waffles are not breakfast to me so I don't really mind. There are several waffle shops in my area that open til very late hours, so to me, in the night, waffles are for the night, like kebabs.
And my stomach can't take dinner for breakfast so that's out of question. I just woke up, I need time to start my body organs. I feel like an old car in winter.
