Hi, I've got a question regarding breeding for Abilities in Gen 6. I'm aware that the mother that has a Hidden Ability has a 60% chance to pass down their Hidden Ability. However, my question is this: if both parents are the species but the father has the HA and the mother has a regular Ability can the HA be passed down to the offspring? For example, say I have two Gligars. The male has the HA Immunity while the female has Hyper Cutter. If I were to breed them together, would it be possible that the male Gligar would be able to pass down the HA via the offspring? Or will the offspring only ever have the female's ability(s)? And this is assuming I lack a Ditto. The wiki has some details on it but I'm not sure since it doesn't clarify if the father can pass down the HA or not. Thanks in advance.

fathers unfortunately can’t pass down HA unless they’re bred with a ditto, even if they’re paired with a pokemon of the same species :sadsola: it always defaults to the female parent. so in your gligar example you would never get immunity offspring with that setup
