Breeding/Trading question

im offering eggs for trade, and i think that if person A receives an unhatched egg in trade, that after it hatches they should be the OT. im not sure though... can anyone verify this? i feel it should work this way, since the first person that pokemon sees, and the first person to train it is the person who hatched it, but the game coding may make it work differently. it may still have the pokemon's OT listed as Person B. also, could person a name that new pokemon when it hatches?

When you hatch a Pokémon, you become the OT even if it was obtained in a different game. Since you are the OT of that hatched Pokémon, yes, you can nickname it.

I don't think the owner of the egg can change the name of the Pokemon.. Only the one hatched it can.. Since the OT will be the one who hatched it..

Yep. Egg Swap in Platinum makes trading Eggs more fun too (the more people you have, the more fun it is!), but I mostly get my Link Trade Eggs from . . . well, Link Trades.
