I'm surprised I've not seen more comments against removal of the system. It's annoying to have your bag full of items you're not using and don't plan on using either; yet you don't want to throw them away or sell them, because what happens if you DO need them later in the game?

Your thoughts?

No, thanks. I like my infinite space storage bag; I know I have everything with me instead of lying in my PC box.

As for items you don't use, you can sort them to be in the last item pages (or middle ones, if you're using both the first and last pages for important items).

I actually like the unlimited inventory, BUT I wouldn't mind a PC storage system for items just for organizational purposes.

Cause scrolling through a crapload of items [dp] or flipping through pages [hgss] was horrendously inefficient. Also, being able to decide [when placing items to/from your Pokemon in the PC] where the item comes from, inventory or storage, would be super great.

No, I like the magic bag. I prefer to have a complete inventory of all possible hold, breeding, evolutionary, and valuable or tradeable items. And then complete inventories in the other pockets, as well.

Gen III required way too much advance planning, to fit all my items into the slots you were given. I had to write out a list of all the things, and organize them on there first before actually organizing my bag and PC. Ruby was the biggest pain, as it has the fewest total item slots in your bag (only 20... complete rip-off).

Gen I was worse. You had 20 item slots in total, and that included key items, TMs/HMs and Poké Balls. The PC could hold 50 different items. So Gen III wasn't bad at all.

I'm fine with the all-containing Bag, but it could use some adjustments.

I think the very best fix would be to further divide the Items Bag. Separate it in Items and Held Items as a start at least. Of course, keeping Incenses, Stones and Held Items for Battles separated would be even better.

The other bags are fine, but the Items bag needs to stop keeping field Items and Held Items together. It's too damn troublesome.

This.

I also hope that they breakdown the "items" section even further.

I'd like a more fluid combination of PC storage and the new bag system. So you'd never have to find out that you suddenly don't have space in your bag you would still have the infinite bag BUT you would also have PC item storage so that you can dump all the junk you don't use regularly.

Personally I think that would work well, and I'm not sure why this hasn't been done yet.

True; but Gen I was primitive in so many ways, the inefficient bag didn't really stand out. The Pokemon storage system was equally ridiculous... you couldn't even switch boxes without saving; I mean, come on.

Gen III (especially Fr/Lg and Emerald) improved the Pokemon Storage so much, but still left the bag and PC item storage a little lacking. Those games increased the number of obtainable items by quite a degree, while not adding that many new slots for them. The different bag sections helped, but the large number of hold items made the "general items" pocket still feel a bit cramped.

The following document is my Gen III organization system. I opted to leave some items out of one game, and include them in another (like Evolution items not being in Ruby, since I can just trade to one of the other games if I need to use one). Because of Fr/Lg's reduced PC item storage, I also needed to break down the hold items a bit between the PC and my bag... mostly by type-enhancing, and ones which act on specific Pokemon species.

I never used the storage system, I never thought of it as useful. So I don't really want it back, but I wouldn't explode out of anger if it was there.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to say I like the infinite bag better. While it is a mystery where it all comes from/goes, I would always forget about items in my PC. However, it did take care of clutter... It's a win lose situation I guess... But I do like having everything with me at every time

I like all the varying input. Breaking down the items slot even further sounds like a very good idea, indeed.

the bag of endlessness is good enough for me but the extra item storage isnt that bad for storing items for later, such as shards and type-boosting items

wasn't the bag with all the different sections designed to replace having to store items in the pc?

I do think further dividing the pockets/sections would make it easier but I don't think we need to use the pc, especially since you can move the items around wherever you need or want them. it seems kind of redundant to me

I was never a big fan of PC item storage. I like the freedom of having any item I might need readily available. So I wouldn't want to see PC item storage return in place of the bag having infinite space.

I like the fact that my bag now has infinite storage space, but it's so annoying trying to scroll down for the item you want.

Anyway, yes, I'd like PC storage to make a comeback (along with the infinite storage bag), so that I can put my unneeded items in it rather than just tossing them away.

I've never even used the PC storage and everytime my bag was full pre-generation IV, I just threw away the most unnecessary crap. So, I vastly prefer the infinite magic bag to the item storage.
