Bring Back Pokemon Chronicles!!

Does anyone else miss this TV series? I loved it because there was no Ash anywhere & you got to see characters only touched on in the games, like Jimmy in "The Legend Of Thunder".

I think there is room for this programme, like a spin-off from the main Animé with Ash. Similar to the Yu-gi-Oh GX programme originated like that, an offshoot from Yu-gi-oh.

Occasional specials would be nice. Like every few months or so.

And before anyone says that "Chronicles" was a dub invention (which happens WAY too much), the topic is clearly about side stories, no matter what you want to call them (no one complains when someone says "HoSos" should come back, even though with the exception of LoT they're the same thing).

If they ever did bring them back, most of them probably would have been about May's journey in Johto.

The "Raikou special" was not part of the hoso specials in Japan, it was a separate thing. The first set of specials bombed because they made them about boring characters like Richie and Casey, two characters most people couldn't care less about.

I like Ritchie and Casey.

I think they really need to bring back side stories as occasional specials. It's nice to see what minor or ex-major characters are up to without having Ash inexplicably running into them all the time.

I thought it was a great idea, and I wish they'd do it again. I don't think they would do it with same characters as last time, but that would be okay! It was fun and refreshing to see other places in the Pokémon world, to see what people and 'mons did outside of Ash's scope.

Though I won't lie, Gary's episode was awesome and my favorite. ♥

I don't think the series did badly, either. I see a lot of people saying it won't happen again... while it's not totally likely, I wouldn't doubt it, either.

Yu-Gi-Oh GX was painful to watch. If a Pokémon animé that was anything like it was made I'd never watch the animé again.

I never really liked Pokemon Hoso that much. Even the episodes that starred Misty were kinda meh.

I don't know about a series of episodes but they could make a TV special with most of the ex-main characters just to see how it does. It's probably too late for that anyway.

"Hoso" isn't right either, it was pretty much the same as Sunday - the big difference is that Hoso aired some "side stories" during its time while Sunday never did so (unless you count the last two MD eps)
These episodes in Japan were called "side stories" and in the English version are the most of the "Chronicles" series (the other part is Raikou + Winter Vacations)

So "Chronicles" isn't that "wrong term" like some insist, but "side story" is the official term in Japan...
Would I like to see these again? only if the dub wouldn't completely destroy it like happened for Chronicles AND if the original episodes themselves will be of higher quality than what we got last time
Seriously, at first I blamed the English version but after watching some of the eps in Japanese - while it sure was better - the episodes seemed to be worse than the regular show's eps... at least for me

What I'd like is a whole series for May's Johto journey, at least a short series that only show us the important events: Contests, rival eps, captures/evolutions, etc... without any kind of "fillers" at all, if they must to make it as short as possible (though if possible, I would be happy to see a long series but yeah right...)
They could easily have 13 eps for the Contests (5 wins, 1 or 2 loses) 3 for the evolutions (Ivysaur, Venusaur, Wartortle) 1 ep to see what she did in Sinnoh pre-Wallace Cup (like Glaceon evolving, hearing about Uxie and a quick flashback of the Wallace Cup as there's no need to show it again) 5 eps for the GF and that's 22 eps...

They really could make a short 26 episodes series for May... if they could make these 16 eps during AG... too bad
While less interesting - I also want to see characters like Misty/Tracey and others, but they really should make better eps than last time if they ever do that again

I don't know about a whole miniseries, but it would be cool to see May out on her own, not just rendezvousing with Ash. I'd also like to see an episode starring Max, but I'm probably the only one.

The Legend of Thunder were my favorite episodes. Since Chronicles isn't coming back, what I'd like to see is Ash's group run into Attila and Hun sometime in the near future.

I wish they'd bring back Pokemon Chronicles. I loved Chronicles for focusing on characters I love--Misty, Butch and Cassidy, Jimmy and Marina, Tracey and so on. It would be awesome to see a second series of Chronicles focusing on these characters again as well as new specials with May, Drew and Harley.

It would be fun if they made a more 'adult' version of the pokemon anime. No constant 'love your friends, treat your pokemon with love' themes, and have actual depth in plot and characters.

I'd love for the chronicles/side stories/hosos or whatever they're called to definitly come back. I would be especially thrilled if there were ones about May/Drew/Harley's adventures in Johto.

You haven't been paying attention to fandom, have you?

If there's a shorter way to say something, and the people you're targeting know exactly what you mean by it, it will be used. Because fandom is lazy and shorthand makes fandom happy, since it means typing less and posting that need-to-make post two seconds sooner than if they had just bothered to say it the long way.

Pokémon fandom is no exception...T-tar. DD. AAML. Hoso.
