Here we have Brock vs his Croagunk in an interesting face off.

Brock is credited as the third major character in the anime, but has been criticized (rightly so) by fans for having no plot and no personality.

On the other hand, Croagunk has way more personality and had a rivalry with the Team Galactic Toxicroak.

Brock's recurring gag is hitting on every girl he sees, while Croagunk's gag is using Poison Jab and dragging his trainer off to an undisclosed location.

So discuss, who REALLY was the third major DP character? Brock? Or was it his Croagunk?

By looks and design? Brock. Croagunk is ugly.

By base stats? Brock has the ability "Infatuable", meaning that he's affected 4 times as strongly by the move Attract. BAD. I'll go with Croagunk here.
 
If croagunk was between Brock and a girl, he may have a chance. Otherwise, croagunk will win.

Unless Brock actually thinks and throws out HIS OTHER POKEMON.

This. However if Brock uses "Miracle Eye" it becomes an OHKO move.

I'm not sure... I like Brock, getting a much needed boost in Johto (he was pathetically weak before, specially in Gen III)... But Croagunk is still the better one.

Brock is light years from Croagunk either way.

Wait, sorry. "Infatuable" means that Brock falls in love as soon as he encounters one of the opposite sex.

And it never fades, meaning that he can't move half the time.

Obviously croagunk. He's tougher, cooler(and better looking).
 
Croagunk, because of how randomly he pops up on a semi-daily basis to Poison Jab Brock.
 
I think this is one of the funnier topics I have encountered in this forum :lol:. Anyway, I chose Croagunk, but I don't really have a reason for this as much as not choosing Brock.
