Long story short the touch screen cover on my ds lite got ripped off, this happened a while ago but it just dawned on me that someone here might be able to help.
I can still use the ds and everything, the bottom screen still shows pictures and the lighting and everything's fine but when you try to tap the screen nothing happens.
Is there anyway of fixing this at home or if I can't would it be expensive to fix?

This looks like a blog post

No he's asking for help because this is pretty serious. Maybe you should shut the fuck up next time you have nothing meaningful to say?

As for the DS, sorry I never heard of this happening, but do you still have the warranty from the place you bought it from? It might cover it, or you could go to a GameStop/BestBuy and ask for help to see how much the repair might end up costing you.

Thanks for replying insomniac, just letting you know I'm a girl lol :-)

Anyway yeah I have the warranty but I think if it was my fault then the company wont fix it and I've asked shops about it and they said it can cost anywhere from 50 to 200 AUD and they'd charge me money to have it looked at aswell. I think I'll just buy a new one, I was hoping someone would know a way to fix it by hand or something but it looks like I've fucked it up pretty good.

Note to anyone else with a ds lite: Do not rip off the cover of the touch screen.

Just wondering, but, why did you rip it off in the first place?

Lol well I tend to fidget with things a lot and I'd kind of pick at it a little bit and after a while it started to come so loose that it interfered with the games I was playing. so I asked my mum if we had any glue so I could stick it back down, she said no and asked to look at it, then she ripped the cover off and said something along the lines of "there, don't worry about it I'll buy super glue tomorrow." Then I turned it on and the touch screen didn't work anymore and I was like fml.

oh sorry about the boy thing...mybad

And wow that's pretty expensive for a piece of plastic, did you ever try and sliding it back inside? I don't really know how touch screen technology works ._.

Sorry about your loss there, but I have no idea how to help.

May I point out that Christmas is comming up and those DSis sure are fun! Might be a good time to upgrade? Also, used DS lites are pretty cheap (at least here in the US)?

Couldn't you buy a new one for the upper value of that range?
