I've been RNGing for a short time now, and it seems that the earliest frame encounter (about 45 seconds in) is the same Pokémon species in that given spot. I've run into about 6 shiny Poochyena on Route 104, all level 4 females.
Is it only possible to encounter that exact shiny on that frame, or can I encounter a different Pokémon on that frame?
Smogon mentions, "That said, do not get discouraged if you get the right spread on the wrong Pokémon. All that means is you’ve done your part correctly, but other parts of the RNG didn’t co-operate. So long as you keep trying, you should be able to Sweet Scent your desired Pokémon."
