Browt is a Rowlet clone

Browt is a Gen X Pokémon revealed on Pokémon Day, 2026. However its eyebrows look too much like Rowlet's bowtie.
In the image below, you can see here that Rowlet (left) looks like Browt (right). The similarity described is circled in red.

EDIT: And by Rowlet clone I mean like Pikaclone but for rowlet

Browt and Rowlet's names have similar vowels and give off "cutie bird" vibes, but the latter is based on owls and the former is based on another bird (not an owl). So no, Browt isn't a Rowlet clone.

Similarity is there, might be intentional, but is this is enough to call it a clone? I guess depends on what your definition of a clone is.

If pachirisu or emolga are a pikaclone, then this is a rowlet clone

I do think it's ehhh to have gotten 2 grass bird starters within 3 generations, but I think calling it a clone is a bit of a stretch. I think once we see the 1st evo it'll help to distinguish Browt from Rowlet more.

Hmm I think its too early to tell with Browt. There are certainly similarities, but we also have Piplup and Quaxly as water bird starters. There are many species of birds out there and Browt is probably not going to be based on an owl like Rowlet is.

Admittedly this was my first thought too, and I think having Gecqua and Sobble be similar also didn’t help its case.

But the little popcorn bean is growing on me and I think it’ll be able to differentiate itself more as its evolution line develops.

Browt looks more like a baby parrot while Rowlet is an owlet. Sure, they're both grass starter birds, but they appear to be different kinds of birds. I wouldn't call Browt a clone of Rowlet, speaking as someone who loves Rowlet (if my current avatar somehow didn't give that away) and thinks Browt is okay, but prefers Pombon and especially Gecqua in terms of the new starters.
