Okay, so the story behind this deck is that with the impending next Modified, half my collection (the TR Returns cards that got me back into the TCG) will be illegal. To try to make the transition easier on me, I thought I'd build a deck that'd be legal even after Modified, so this deck somehow came into being (that, and I needed an excuse to use the nice Delta Species Armaldo I'd scored at the Holon Phantoms prerelease.) Basically, what I did was go through my binder, pulling out decent cards. The original plan for this deck was to be Grass/Steel/Fighting, but I thought that might be another good habit to break, given my White Tomorrow deck (the deck that will essentially be screwed after Modified) was exactly that- I needed to branch out. So it ended up being Psychic/Steel/Fighting, with a bizzare emphasis on Wobbuffet (hey, the last two versions of Wobby have rocked. Of course I'm going to use them.) Overall, it's just your basic beatdown deck, with my typical emphasis on "pick on the Benched Pokemon" built on my (craptacular) budget (and the unusual good luck I've been having at prereleases lately- I won that Mew in a drawing.) The four Fossils (the two Claw and Mysterious) could do fine on their own, but I threw the Strange Cave into the mix to free them up for the magical, 30 HP of bench damage that is Armaldo's Fossil Charge.

As far as the name goes, yes, I know it's corny. It just seemed right, given all the Psychic types, and the Fossil evolutions, Regirock, and Holon Adventurer just give the deck an Indiana Jones, adventure movie vibe (the little Holon Adventurer dude's the deck's unofficial mascot). Also, the fact that the majority of attacks in my deck deal damage dependent on things like Energy and damage counters is kind of like a curse... or something. Yeah, it's lame. So sue me already.
