It says one of her Pokemon is Buizel.
 
...wat.

But...she has Pochama! Why does she need another water-type? .-.
 
After using my lump of brain a little, I've concluded that Pochama is a Bubble shooting Pokémon.
Hikari for some reason also needs a Water Gun Pokémon.

...Yes, that's the best logic I could think of ._.
 
Ash had two Grass types in most of Johto, who used almost the exact same attacks and were both starters...

Yeah, and Buizel will probably use Water Gun and Aqua Jet instead of Peck and Bubble
 
Woo Buizel for Hikari!

I kind of like it, but I don't know why she needed another water type. And I doubt it's a typo.
 
Not to mention May had three normal pokemon overall through her run, so what's the big deal about Hikari having same typed pokemon
 
Because where normal pokémon can learn an assortment of different types of moves, water can primarily learn water moves, and their basic moves are usually the same.
 
As far as I'm concerned its stupid, she doesn't NEED another water type. Buizel is far more suited to Ash, especially with that pose. The kind of attitude and personality that pose implys would just be completely wrong for Hikari's team in my opinion. Plus Ash does need a water type somewhere along the line, and what better pokemon than Buizel. Also this means that Ash is only going to have 3 pokemon by the movie, all of which he's already got and only one of those will be from Sinnoh, and with no evolutions either his team is going to be pretty weak. And then Hikari will have 4. FOUR! she doesn't need that many yet! If I had the time there are so many other problems I could find in this. It's just...Ludicrous! For me there's no other word for it.
 
I really don't know what to think of this.

On one hand I kinda like it that Ash has another slot free now, and he may not get a water type this time if this holds true.

On the other hand, Hikari has two Water types...but...but...Pochama is her starter! May never got another fire type because Combusken was her starter...but how can this be?

Buizel also seems kind of out of place with all of Hikari's cute little tiny Pokemon. I dunno, it just seems odd.

Also, why is Hikari getting so many Pokemon so quickly? She has a team of four already by July? WTF?!

Don't matter though, overall they learn mostly normal moves, and they are the same type regardless.

The difference is Skitty wasn't on her team anymore when she got the other two.

And Munchlax had Solarbeam and Focus Punch as moves while Eevee used Shadow Ball and Dig, so it was totally different despite being the same types.

Having two water types is a bigger deal than two normal types.

What if Buizel is interested in gyms, whereas Aipom is interested in Contest...

I think this would be neat.

They could learn every attack known, but they are still the same types regardless, serious or not.

I see what your getting at, and it's not going to happen, Ash doesn't trade his pokemon especially after what happened with his Butterfree from long ago, not to mention turning down numerous trade offers in that one jouto filler. Second, considering how bad he was tripping over possibly losing Aipom to Jessie i don't think he's gonna let it go that easily, as much as it makes me retch.

Does Ash need another freaking water pokemon anyway, he has more of them than any other type he owns.

Not to mention that Hikari using Aipom at all, puts her beneath May severely in terms of being a coordinator.

And Habunake, that would totally please the Ash-trading-Aipom-to-Hikari fans.

Exactly. Can water types learn every single attack known? No, not at all. (and Normal can't learn every attack known, I don't know where you got that from)
 
That... that really sucks. :( Not because Hikari has two Water-types. She's a coordinator, types don't count as much as they do to a trainer. It has more to do with the fact that Buizel fits Ash to a tee. Bah.

In NO way does a certain pokémon effect the outcome of the coordinator in judging. Oh my God, this is total bull shit. This really pissed me off.

A pokémon does not determine how good of a trainer or coordinator one trainer or coordinator is. So in the way of a pokémon putting Hikari below May, dude. Seriously. What the hell.
 
No way. Buziel is Ash's! Turtwig is next to brock, and Hikari already has Piplup!
 
The Movie Site says otherwise....

Anyway...if Ash can have some old dude watch his Pokemon for basically all of eternity, why can't he give one of his travelling partners one?
