BuizelBoy's Scratch Thread.

Welcome to BuizelBoy's Scratch Thread. I've been spriting for a very long time now, and about a year ago, I decided to try my hand at something much more advanced and technical - scratch spriting.

Since my fakemon project came to nothing, this thread will return to what it once was, a simple sprite thread.

Here is an assortment of my scratching work - they are all different shapes, sizes and styles, and I hope you enjoy viewing them. Please tell me what you like and dislike, I want to know your opinion... here goes:

Some awesome material!

The only slight problem I see is that your Palma Sunrise Bayleef's outlines are a bit, in my opinion, too light. Of course, maybe it was your intention to do so, in which case you are a pretty awesome all-round spriter!

Thanks, I wanted to make the Bayleef's outlines a bit softer, as I thought a dark outline would make it look less smooth and harmonious in this case - done it with other Pokemon in that palette and some went horribly wrong, you seriously don't wanna see the Metang I made, looks like some kind of plush toy. :p Not sure how well it turned out in this case, don't think it really worked but hey, this is why I have a rating thread, so I can screw things up. :D

Updated the page, some of the recolors screwed up when I made the background transparent. :/

It's been 16 days before my last post, I'm sure just one double post won't hurt...

Updated the front page with loads of stuff I made since resuming spriting (you'll have seen most of it before, but theres a fair amount of new sprites too).

What do you guys want to see?! I recolor, I get no rates. I splice, I get no rates. I scratch, I get no rates...? What do you guys want to see me making? Sick and tired of seeing how much appreciation people get for merely changing the color of a sprite, rather than making an entirely new one...

Sorry about not posting in this instead of VMing you how awesome your scratches are. In my opinion, you've GOT to be the best scratch spriter on the forums by far, and graet and doing things like splices too. I actually can't believe that not many people took the time to review your awesome sprites (Though I guess the sprite threads don't get as many views as the sprite SHOPS, now do they?).

Thanks for praising me in VM Valor. :D But if you post it here instead, the topic gets more posts and gets bumped up more, and people start to notice the topic. xD

Thanks very much! I may well make another tonight if I have time, however I'm not sure I will... Nice to know someone appreciates them. xD

It's great to see some scratch sprites for once. Not many people like making them (probably because they take a lot of work), but I definately like yours. Please make more. :D

Thanks, it means a lot coming from you, I really like your scratches and they were actually one of the reasons I decided to give it a go. ^-^ Got some free time coming up, so look out for new material!
