What if Bulbagarden had a seperate part of the site (like I understand the forums & the bulbapedia to be) where all the different battle stratigies for each pokemon that has proven to be succesful are kept?

The point of this is to make it quick & easy for people to find stratigies that has been proven to work well for a specfic pokemon.

How it'd work:

First, there'd be a list of pokemons.
(maybe there will be a setting that allows users to organize the list alphabetically or by ID numbers.)

Users click on a pokemon's name to see all of the proven stratigies that we (the whole Bulbagarden community) have found for it.

& each moveset will specify what tier it's for & for what purpose. (this may be obivious, but I'm just making it clear of what I had in mind.)

I'm sure we will find things Smogon haven't, so why not keep track of it all?

& this Bulba Battle Bank, as I'd call it, would be something that we'd work on little-by-little, kind of like the pokemon of the week feature of Serebii. (but we'd work on it day-by-day, as quickly as we find new proven stratigies, not week-by-week.)

This way, there shouldn't be an overload of work for the higher-ups to do...

Well... I think people would generally get referred to Smogon for that kind of thing. Those people practically do it for a living >_>

Yeah, they test their sets to see if it works and get updated as far as I can tell.

You can't just take up sets that work and expect them to always work--and its not as if giving people detailed instructions actually make them good.

If you can find enough dedicated users to properly test this then maybe, but Bulbagarden isn't a dedicated battling community like Smogon is.

Yeah, bulbagarden isn't a dedicated battling community, and it is affiliated with Smogon, so, down

As much as I'd love this, it isn't going to work. Bulbagarden has alot less battlers than Smogon, and chances are most sets that are any good are on the Smogon analyses. A majority of the sets I see in the new moveset thread wouldnt make it onto an analyses because they are gimmicks, and the general rule for a set top be new is "not on Smogon's analysis page". Also, alot of the movesets I've seen in RMTs are outclassed, if not specialized for their team (and wouldnt work for everyone) or from Smogon. As such, down.

Smogon already does this and that where most people would go to when looking for this kind of stuff so DOWN.
